They're not really comparable, the KOTOR MMO space is only a rumor, and there's no player housing. Plus they're using an auction house system similar to WoW. Where as, SWG is more of a sandbox game.
ToR is a WoW clone at it's core.
Pre-NGE SWG is in a class of it's own, alone.
Here's the truth, pre-NGE SWG was by far a mind blowing game and much better than it's current stage. [b]However[/b] if you've never played pre-NGE then it's a decent game with alot of shit to do.
I stopped playing this game when i realized i was paying for a game that turned into shit.
I played a bit on the trial, I didn't end up subbing. The thing this game has over the coming ToR is that I wondered around the city you start in, looking at the citizens come and go for the week I played, then one day a jedi, the only I ended up seeing was having some battle with a sith in the middle of the road. All the other players stopped what they were doing and watched. The new MMO is just playing to the 10 year old I wanna be a jedi role. Its just gonna be dull and packed with jedi.
I tried the trail of this, I really enjoyed it and have it on Steam, but I never subscribed to it. SoE's general lack of free periods with newly bought games was a bit offputting and I just had too many other things to do. My character got to about level 17 I think, but it wasn't on Bloodfin and a transfer would be a bit bothersome.
I had an Empire-leaning human trooper, Twi'lek entertainer and Stumpy-Leg-Thing trader. Can't remember their names though.
I say we set up on Tatooine or Naboo.

Everytime I've played the trial, I always make a fat wookie and make him/her/it dance everywhere. Definitely the best amusement of all time.

FOTM is the most played class, last time I checked it was Jedi with Darkside expertise.

17 takes a day or two to get to, just make a new character on bloodfin if you come back.

Oh yeah and as of now I'm a light jedi in disguise.
And by that I mean I wear scout trooper armor, carry a blaster, and keep the title Elder Marksman. I don't take the lightsaber out unless I'm alone or in PVP.

I remember playing this back in '06, maybe as far back as 2005. I don't think I was in pre-CU, though, unfortunately. And I didn't start as a jedi like everyone else, I went commando, my name was Carrier Omen I believe. I think he's about level 30 something or so. I hadn't played in a long time since then, but then I discovered I had 15 free days, so I went to check out if there was a hint of the guild I used to be in.
They had their city at this place called Echo Falls in Naboo. I went there, and it turns out the city was there and there were still vendors and everything, but it looked abandoned. Even if I wasn't in pre-CU, I still enjoyed the game a lot back then. I had a yacht when I came back, but after I discovered that the guild was pretty much dead, I haven't touched it since then. And I was on some server called Euro-Chimera I believe.

Oh wait, I remember what happened. I went to check out my new yacht, and I disengaged control and explored it a bit. When I went back to the controls, for some reason I couldn't access them, so I was stuck on the ship. I'm probably still stuck there.

I never actually got a chance too play SWG :( But I fooled around on the SWGEMU test servers a few times, that's about it. They aren't stable yet and fit for smooth playing like Perfumly playing.. but oh well. I think I'll just wait till the EMU is done and play with facepunchers on that.

There's literally nothing for me to do. I was going to write an enormous post about my past experiences with the game and why I feel bad every time I hear it, but this probably isn't the place for that.
I was on Flurry anyway, but I guess I'll be back if I want to give this another go. I remember I turned my elder Jedi into a creature handler when they released that. Only got my rancor up to level 40 or so. I kinda rushed him, however, and I'm too lazy and unwilling to turn my other leftover rancor into that new pet type.

It really depends.
You got to get the best armor with mod attachments, best weapon with mod attachments and all the best buffs (GCW, ect) and you will be so fucking OP. Last time i was playing Spy was fucking OP as hell.
