Yeah space is one of the things left almost completely untouched by the new dev team.
I got a black sun gunboat fully decked out in the best parts and it is fully furnished. Always find it fun to go out with a full crew and knock out some space collections.

Small house? Depends on the vendor I've seen them sell from 100-5000 credits. You should be able to buy one from the trial, just do a vendor search and find the cheapest one.

What do cards do anyway, can you summon the thing it is in-game?
The cards (trading card game), what it is most people buy the decks for the loot cards. There are two types of loot cards, no-trade (these are most likely the ones given away for free) and ones without any restrictions.
It depends on the cards you get, there is tons of stuff you get. You can get housing deeds, speeders, collectible items, collection pieces, furniture, clothing, ect. All worth something, the ones that are rare go for a few hundred mill (in game currency). Most people spend 10-20 USD on a set of cards to get the loot card items and sell them for a few million. Beats buying credits and it is legit (Non-bannable) however another reason why our economy in game is so fucking inflated. I remember back in the day armor that sold for 500k, now goes for a few million and higher end sets go from 10mill and up.
I remember buying a Tusken Raider mask for 1 mil.
Then selling it for 70 mil later.

Really now? I may have to try this again. Played back a LONG ass time ago, and stopped at NGE. Literally like a week before(monthly fees got the best of me) NGE kicked in. And according to that list, they shut down my old main(intrepid) so I may be able to join you guys for a while.
I'll only play if either SWGEmu gets finished or Neu-SWG goes the way of DnD Online and makes it Free To Play but only having to pay for special shit. my only exposure to SWG was a brief tenure at SWGEmu before I decided that I'd rather try it when it finally came out.
I would be happy if SOE did a classic sever type thing, but that would never happen.

It costs money, but if they did that more people would rejoin to play the game they once loved.
Only disadvantage is this isn't the original dev team that created SWG, most of them are no idea what they're doing and so uncreative all they do is push out TCG content to boost sales rather then putting in some decent content. And when they do something worth while they do small updates.
