I was actually glad to see that the spawn in 2b2t was much different from the norm.
I'm relatively close to spawn again so if any fpers need shit pm me and I'll hook you up as best I can.
I'm tired of the preaching on this thread about helping newfags or fixing up spawn. So i'm going to do the exact opposite.
Someone's griefed the spawn again. As a newcomer to the server, I find this highly discouraging to new growth and quite absurd.

I somehow managed to, despite my typical luck, discover a lone melon plant
sprouting up amongst some dirt ruins. I sowed a lot more plants in/around where I found it; it's the most I could do...
(I realize now that I probably should have cut down those dirt walls and made it blend in a bit more/not stand out like a fart in a church, but meh...
I've got absolutely no intentions of going back there. Good luck, hopefully someone trying to make it out of spawn will find it before one of those spawn farm

I believe the exploit is being fixed, apparently you get that error when minecraft.net is down or the servers are being worked on.

The Mojang authorization servers weren't authorizing, meaning that you could join a server as any user you want to (i.e. notch).

Auth server was down/screwed for the 4235321535th time allowing anyone to login to the server as anyone else, it'll load their dat file so you end up with their location, skin and inventory meaning you can do anything with their account on the server.
Old as fuck bug with MC, it's been around since the start of MC's MP and just another example of shit coding.
Why isn't the server shut down to prevent this
Because it's already fixed.
