This is my sand duper. It is working, even though it shouldn't. Additionally it cannot be turned off. I tried destroying most of the redstone wires as well as removing the repeaters and the torches that power the redstone. After a few seconds the redstone powers itself and the machine turns on again.
There are also lots of animals.
The lag is obscene, too.
Oh and sometimes instead of walking forward I get insta-lifted about 5m into the air for no apparent reason.

Go to -1000, -1000. I built a little base out of the ruined castle there. There are plenty of trees, some tall grass, and maybe a hidden watermelon or two. Heck I was even able to get enough iron for a full set of iron armor and tools from around that area. Before I left it someone killed all the pigs and chickens and destroyed all the crops within the area (surprisingly my wolf was completely unharmed), but you may be able to get some apples. Have fun.

No worries, I had everything I wanted to keep in my inventory, I was just leaving that stuff there for anyone who needed a safe resting area with food.
Anyway, I guess I just have to eat zombie flesh and hope not to get food poisoning. So why don't any farm animals spawn near 0,0 ?

Because animals don't respawn in Minecraft. Mojang made it that way a long time ago. Also did you miss the part where I said there was food 1000 meters from spawn?
