most lag probably comes from mob grinders / xp farms. Mobs moving in water is such a CPU hog for no reason.

I mean when he rolls things back, it resets chests. So if I take something out of the chest and he rolls it back, I effectively have twice the original amount.

Spawn isn't always camped you know. The lava is gone now, and that was one of the first times spawn has been lavad in a long time.
Why do people give up and bitch so easily? Spawn got filled with lava again today and I made my own way out by punching rocks. If you can't use that many brain cells get the fuck off of this server.
Falling through the void in an unloaded chunk isn't impressive.
