o right i miss read that, yes, i made the outline in wood first then put glass over it and burn the wood, can also be done with wool but its harder to farm
you also cant just make a glass shell because there will be still water source blocks inside it

there's a ton of those scattered around spawn, not really that hard to find. i guess they're a bit more rare since most of the spawnfags have made off with them but they're still around if you look a bit.
