I'm not mad, I just laughed when I logged in a found it all destroyed. Oh well, I'm on the move searching for a place to go.
It's a nice feeling when you find your base in ruins. You can scavenge for anything they might have missed and sort and prioritize your inventory, you can have a last trip around it, avoiding lava and other deadly things, or you can even try to repair it (which is a bad idea). But the trek away from it is great. A feeling of new adventure, isolation and maybe even revenge, you either head into the Nether or you travel the land for a while, maybe raiding some abandoned mineshafts for basic loot while you make a fresh set of armour. Sure, your base is destroyed, but I sometimes feel like it's lifting a burden from my shoulders. I can now go and create something new, or I can find and kill others. Or, I can simply travel. I have a lot of options, a lot of possibilities, and should I decide to settle, I can learn from the mistakes that led to my discovery.

What shitty raider leaves any loot?
I destroy the crops, flood the base with lava, break all the chests, and then wait around for the items to despawn.
I can't make it any where without starving any advice/help in which direction might have the closest animals?

And then you realize you forgot to destroy that furnace with the uncollected iron in the mob grinder room. Not everybody checks every single part of a base, lots of times they'll forget some rooms or won't even explore enough to find them.

and plus, people get tricky, they hide their loot in things other than chests. when a base gets griefed, it is fun to go back and see what all was done to it, and what was missed, because SOMETHING always gets missed. also, the way it was griefed, tnt? lava? pickaxe? and some great builds leave sexy ruins for the land as well, just adding another story to the land that is 2b2t.

Well, as we build our new base i realize that things are looking good for Facepunch on 2b2t. We have built up multiple bases that are scattered among the land. Ready with supplies if we need to leave our main base. It seems almost every day we have someone new join our ranks. All in all im proud of what we have accomplished and the work we have done to get the fp republic back up and running.
