It was down a moment ago to fix the god annoying boat speed glitch. The server should be back to it's non laggy state, there could still be some bugs out there though. As of now it's running perfectly well.
I'm at roughly 5k 5k, can anyone PM me with coords to any nearby settlements?
So i was pretty far out from out spawn, find a pretty intact castle thing. Few chests with more food/misc supplies. Exploring further i found a nether portal. Went in. Find nothing, go back in.
Now i am in sight of spawn
Is there an active FP base and if so, can I get the coords?
All FP bases are guaranteed death traps so I would suggest just going solo.

Looks can be deceiving, I've spent some time fixing up a lot of damage, and things like that, not to mention a lot of the insides of places are completely gone. And it's defiantly been looted, I replanted the farms and the like. Never noticed the penis until I decided to walk out of the main gate.

What? If you mean the chat, then yeah, I fixed this place up before I took the picture. If you live there, than I'm sorry, but a lot of the building had nazi symbols in them, and stuff like that. Oh, just actually read your post, I took a picture with F1 on at first but decided it would be easier to hide the cords if I pressed F1, so I did that instead.

Tried something rather stupid just now. People were talking about having trouble with beds, so I dumped all my shit in a chest and killed myself.
Thankfully my bed works fine. :v:
People assume that you don't have to actually lay in a bed for it to change your spawn.
Is there anything or anybody currentelly near spawn that can help a new player?

Lots of people claimed their beds weren't working at all, even if they slept in them like they were supposed to (to a complete fade and what-not), so I figured "wellp, might as well test it or there's no point to having a base at all if I'm sent back to spawn if I herp-the-derp in a cave and die or something".

Just walk out and try to avoid jumping/running/humans as much as possible. Then, find a dead skeleton in daylight, take bones, make tallgrass, get wood hoe, plant seeds, stock up on bread.
Your hunger bar will last 10k blocks if you only walk.

I died about 5 times before I found an animal to punch to death
If you can find trees you can make bowls, you may or may not find mushrooms near spawn. I found some right before I died from hunger but I didn't have any wood,

Especially since most nether travel was before they nerfed mushroom growth, I've found entire caverns FULL of mushrooms in the nether.

why is it that every time i try to mine certain blocks, they reappear immediately after i mine them? it's not all blocks, just certain ones, and its pissing me off
I'm not exactly sure what I want to do now.
On the one hand, it'd be a neat (if not boring) experiment to see how long it takes me to be found.
On the other hand, I'd be driven mad with nothing to do other than make a self-sustaining base that only I occupy. That and I lack in a few crucial supplies (netherwart being the big one).
To pass the time, since my bed works, I might make a few suicide runs to spawn and leave little goodies lying around for those just starting out. Once I build up sufficient resources that is.
