With enough bone meal you could, a giant mushroom will drop around 10 of each type.
Anyone remember that old, old castle on this server? Middle had been blown apart and there were a ton of different tunnels beneath it. Made a pretty cool base within the first few days of FP discovery. I actually found it, then got killed by the FPers who moved in after me.

There are a few bases around 10,500x10,500. Look around for them.

10k is far from safe. I would take one of the nether tunnels to at least 50k before making a home.

I've got 4 different places well within 10k, none seem to be even visited.
(all would be easy to find with xray)
But I am not stopping at 10k ;)

Exactly at 1mil? You had it coming. Someone got to 1mil on x and started moving towards + on z. It's safer to build at - + 10-20k random than it is to build at 1mil 100k
the fact that nothing in 2b2t is safe has been made abundantly clear to me
i made a neat little base in a cliff near a ravine at like 8000, 10000, and on a huge field behind it i started building a grand castle to be some manner of multiperson base
when i came on today, the entrance to the cliffbase was blown up, the cows slaughtered, and the way into the other rooms i'd dug out was blocked up
apparently the guy who blew it up left behind 28 iron and 10 gold for no real reason
also, he took my bed which made dying to a spider a few minutes later worse
ahh, its good to be back.
Found a base, now I'm inhabiting it and slowly filling chests with bread and melons. (just taking what I need to keep full)

What is the most active area on this server? I went for the the -z route 0 x and its pretty empty. I've took my time creating big bases every 10k and now im getting to -50k i'm either going to just nether travel and to the hundred thousands or make my way back towards the positive axis. Maybe even have some fun closer to spawn before I go back out.
The most active area is spawn, everywhere else is just people trying to get further away from it.

So far I put one in a carved out side of a mountain where I stayed one night.
I also found a cave PACKED with mushrooms. I now have almost a full stack of both kinds of mushrooms. So long for bread and fish.

Just wanted to say that the picture I posted, the only man made part of that, was the grass and the tree's (had lots of bone-meal) the rest of it was randomly generated, damn I wish I could remember the cords.
