Guide to survival in 2b2t for a new guy? I escaped the spawn and looted an old base. Now is there any food or do you have to fish?
Break some trees, find an apple. It'll get you through another 1k blocks if you are lucky, and then you can see if it's possible to stop to fish.

Go hang out at -2000, -2000. There is a place to stay, a farm (it needs seeds though), and animals.
I miss the first seed it was changed to today, I was doing pretty well and even had music disk C418. After that it was fun for the 2b2t community to work together for once to survive the onslaught of ghasts and hellish situations Hause threw us into.
Now I'm back to it being like singleplayer with chat. It's so lonely. It was truly the most evil and twisted April Fools joke to date.
Most of the Facepunchers are amassing at base 2k2k (coords -2000x -2000z). I am on the alt jimino at base 2k2k, but is appears someone else has been using that account too. If it is anyone from here, I request that they please stop, to prevent confusion. If it's not someone from here, if you see jimino killing everyone or nigging up the base, please kill him. Thanks.
Would anyone mind helping me get started on here? It's impossible to get away from spawn as I keep starving or being killed by mobs.
I found a few folk and hanged out with them for awhile but I couldn't communicate due to the chat. Then sadly I got killed by a spider. Gotta start from step one again
I made my way to 2k2k, but someone killed me while i was AFK.

Seems like more of a prank than an april fool but whatever.
I tried to reach a friend's base like 10 times and actually made it once (before promptly starving)
Then I started lagging like hell.
Do you guys have any wool at 2k2k?
I need a bed. Mine and alot of my crops disappeared during the map downtime. I'm not that far off so I could make the trek if needed.
Someone kept logging into jimino so I won't be using that alt anymore. I will probably travel all the way to 2k2k on my Phagocytic account. It will take me a long time, though, because it's really far out.

That portion where I'm on the other side of the wall, standing still, was when I made it out to the door only to find out that there was a 50 foot drop off the suddenly stopping pathway and ghasts out there, too.

I filled the farm with seeds, patched a few holes here and there.

I'm studying for quarter finals tomorrow so I won't be back on until later tonight. Just keep trying to get to base 2k2k, and then defend it from raiders and help your fellow Facepunchers. If you see someone approaching, ask them if they are Facepunch. If they do not respond or seem suspicious, kill them.
Leaving this stuff at (75,142) in the nether, because I've been carrying it around for months and I'm sick of it.

Finally kinda managed to leave spawn, have two zombie fleshes in my inventory and I'm hiding out in a hole in the outskirts of the spawn until the dawn comes.. I might just make it, thankfully the server now saves your location.

Try and see if you can make it to base 2k2k and meet up with the others. Oh, also I saw you in the nether when I was on my way to pick up those items. Haha.
I made it to 2k2. I might post the things I came across. I logged out there, the lag was too bad, but I donated some moss stone and patched a few holes.
I think I left my dogs there.

So I was traveling far out away from spawn and I found this really cool canal that was (probably) formed from glitches between 1.7.3 and the 1.8 terrain update.

Try getting there via the nether. There's that nether portal in the obsidian swastika near spawn, which you can access by doing some parkour. Once in the nether, the coords to the nether portal nearest base 2k2k are -270x 94y -270z.
