So I was talking to Shootaa this morning on the server about using these new books in the next update as personal self-journals. He said that they don't actually sign automatically, rather the player decides when to sign it and prevent editing..

I think i'll make a little shelter somewhere close to spawn underground so anyone from Facepunch can get supplies to travel out farther or whatever.

Mind you, saying that I managed to die in middle of an ocean due to cave spiders and my own stupidity, and with no bed I ended up in spawn. Via the nether I've found a place called 'Haven City' which whilst derelict had a functioning farm which let me survive, and it's not too far from spawn either.

Cool to see that having the 2b2t thread in the minecraft section is getting it more attention. Was like 5 or so posts daily unless people were bitching about the server being down, now its 20+ a day.

So I log in today, check my secret chest and all my diamonds are gone. The base was un-griefed and the entrance was undisturbed, but what really got me was there was still the two thick layer of smoothstone covering the chest. Can people hack into chests somehow or have I been hit by a smooth criminal?

I got pretty far out from spawn (more than 10k) and something like 100 tiles down before branching off. I sealed the top with dirt underneath a tree in a spot that is totally not obvious whatsoever. There's not even a cut tree anywhere near me, let alone a lone workbench or torch. I think I'll be safe here. So, wow. I'm the worst. I was digging out my farm, when I broke into a natural cave. I fell into a lavastream exploring it and died. I'm way too far out from spawn to make it without food. :suicide:
