Suddenly, bans.

Bans, Bans everywhere. On another note New base HOWEVER, all I've managed to build is a square ... I just have no idea for any designs. I don't wanna do another keep, that's kind of boring.

Well, my first base got raided after 3 days, it was at 328 9857. I guess the old players would say that's very close to spawn. Since then i've been traveling much, much farther. I set-up some temporary housing for the night, I plan on leaving it for any travelers to rest in. I would post the coords, but in all honesty that would just get it destroyed.

Just started. I've gotten lost and starved to death three times. It's pretty cool to explore though.

Just started playing on the server I can't find any wood and keep getting lost in caves but this is pretty awesome The furthest I could get to was a giant castle wall (I followed the stone road) and then I just died for no apparent reason

Enter them and once you're in the nether enter the portal you came out of. That should take you out pretty far.

Are there any Facepunch holdfasts? I've been wandering the war-torn wastes for hours and the only guys I met tried to kill me.

I finally found somewhere to settle down, been surviving quite well by taking stuff from abandoned settlements along the way. Server's very fun

Well, I've set about restoring an abandoned holdfast, hopefully I can keep this safe enough to provide some sort of safe point for any lost Facepunchers. If the Gods are good, it won't be a half blown-up, lava-filled wreck.

Anyone know who rupturedkidney is? and if he is chill?

Someone mentioned about potentially making a library for the next patch. I got bored and started construction.

I wouldn't bother unless you have ink for some books. First thing I'm gonna do once I get far out enough to build is go for a swim and look for some squid.

The lava flow's are awfull (Got killed when just looking to what happened, luckily I had good place for bed + backup gear) As for making/keeping safe points, In my experience it is better make multiple small points a bit further away (at least 1k) with minimal resource. This way it also doesn't hurt to much to give coordinates for one of them away here in forum or even as whisper ingame. If I am in the mood I do the same, currently those bases are abandoned as I want to build something bigger and that needs to be outside 10k.
