I'm too far out to help you, but what are the co-ords of spawn so I can make my way back there to help a friend once I've grown enough food.

Thanks very much, I would help you but I don't have the resorces to help at the moment. In a few days I can though, but for not try and find some food around spawn, make your way in direction 0, find a nether portal and there is a base around 10k with melons and wood and stuff.

Please nobody help him out. getting out of spawn is a test, if you pass you are a true member of 2b2t. If it's too much then you can join the other servers with 12 year old admins and 200 plugins.

It's more luck than skill getting out of spawn, the first few times I tried there where people there killing as you spawn, and then I got lucky, found a few melons lying around found a portal and then got out in a 10k base with lots of food and wood, then after a bit of walking found some sheep. I attempted an escape many times but only once did all the factors line up.

Actually, if you take a nether portal that's really close to spawn, theres going to be a staircase, you go up that, then you turn to your right and walk forward on the bridge, it's 100% flat so no jumping, and if you take the right path (read: continue to walk on the bridge, even when it turns into 1x1 and turns left and right and whatnot) you'll end up getting to another staircase. This staircase leads to a nether portal, and that nether portal leads to a cave. The cave has a house in it, it's sort of hard to find, but when you do, there still should be some watermelons if no one has raided it.
It's Snackymorph's old base BTW, he left 3 seconds after I told him I found it :p

This is why I'm curious if there is a way for players to automatically get the coordinates of other players in a server.

I did the same thing a few months ago, came back eventually
i finally got raided at my 5k base lol
the two that chased me couldn't kill me so they started running away, told me "this is war" and are gonna get all my shit
it was entertaining to see them run lmao

Found this, pretty cool.
My and friend were exploring an abandoned mineshaft, when we managed to get ambushed by cave spiders (or, technically speaking we wandered into shaft that had three spawners next to it). Though we fought valiantly we both died, and lost all our good stuff (we also discovered that trying to burn spiders out just results in angry spiders that bite [i]and[/i] set fire to you.
We then headed back, dug a stairwell down there and committed spider genocide. Then I fell in lava whilst dicking about with water, then my mate set fire to part of the mineshaft by trying to stop lava with wood.
We are not good at this game.
