Well to be fair I dont want to see waving ragdoll penises everywhere. Or even ragdoll dismembered penises
I'll be waiting for "Briton PhysX Dongs v2" to show up on the nexus, it is inevitable.
Just imagine being a roman soldier in that shield wall, hiding behind your shield as you hear the meaty *thwack* of a penis against it...
When the Romans first landed in Britain, the Druids were all standing on the beach, completely naked and covered in paint. The story goes that the Romans stayed in their ships from fear of the druids until a Vexilarius threw his banner ashore, forcing the legions to protect it.
Hah, Rome has some of the best legends.
I was doing fairly well in the Italian campaign in Napolean: Total war, I had got as far as taking 2 Venetian cities and suddenly Sardinia-Pietmont Declare war on me, WHAT THE FUCK? They're my protectorate, I had a peace treaty with them, Fucking Cheating game.

Are there any good 'starters' as in what the fuck can I do to successfully survive early game and not get fucked over by cheating ai in Shogun 2?
To be honest, as a legionnaire you're standing in a wall made of the finest, most honourable men of the Mediterranean, backed by the immense glory, wealth and industry that is Rome. Hard to become afraid if you know that. [sp]yes I'm a bit of a Rome fanboy[/sp]
Tell that to the 9th legion :v:
Are there any good 'starters' as in what the fuck can I do to successfully survive early game and not get fucked over by cheating ai in Shogun 2?
For starters get the mod that stops them from cheating(ie look for the one that removes their bonus recruitment slots and stops them from magically converting Yari's into Samurai when hidden in the FoW)

Never really modded Total War games. Also, does the AI do this in Fall of the Samurai as well?
Any idea where to look? Never really modded Total War games. Also, does the AI do this in Fall of the Samurai as well?
The AI in FotS is a cheating bastard.

It gets old quick when the AI shrugs off the loss of it's crack doomstack(s) then raises more in the very next turn.

Get darthmod it lets you disable or enable the cheating. And yes it's FOTS compatible, it even has its own options to give the riflemen bayonettes (IIRC they were scrapped but were still in the game files)

I don't want to give my game a total makeover, I like FOTS just the way it is (along with the upkeep and unit tactics mods).

Makes them smarter and not stupid as shit. And it increases the army sizes. [editline]2nd February 2013[/editline] and yes you can disable most of them.
I subscribed to the Darthmod but where is the in-game menu? I noticed the new unit cards but where can I customize things
I subscribed to the Darthmod but where is the in-game menu? I noticed the new unit cards but where can I customize things
Well it's better to download it from the TW forum though. There should be a launcher on your desktop.
Any idea where to look? Never really modded Total War games. Also, does the AI do this in Fall of the Samurai as well?
Radious Fixes is the one I've been using
Radious Fixes is the one I've been using
jesus christ you're just a walking billboard aren't you
Anyone looking forward to Noif's upcoming FoTS overhaul mod? http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?p=12135030#post12135030
jesus christ you're just a walking billboard aren't you
what
what
I'm pretty sure he's talking about how you oftentimes refer to your Radious mods for FOTS, which he doesn't like. But I'm fine with it.
In my current game of Rome, the Gauls seem completely incapable of throwing any more than warbands at me. Are the Gauls generally a piece of cake for most people?
In my current game of Rome, the Gauls seem completely incapable of throwing any more than warbands at me.
Remember, WE ARE THE SONS OF MARS!
If memory serves the legions used to praise the Saxon god Woden after a victory. Not sure why maybe a sign of respect?
I'm pretty sure he's talking about how you oftentimes refer to your Radious mods for FOTS, which he doesn't like. But I'm fine with it.
eh oh well. Radious was one of the first real mods for Shogun when the game was new and it fixes all my problems with the game.
If memory serves the legions used to praise the Saxon god Woden after a victory. Not sure why maybe a sign of respect?
Many of the Roman army's where made up of hired folk / people of which their original country got conquered and decided to fight for the Romans. So that might be why some of them did that.
Playing some medieval 2, never tried venice, it's the most fun faction for me so far.
I'm pretty sure he's talking about how you oftentimes refer to your Radious mods for FOTS, which he doesn't like. But it's funny because every 5 posts someone will ask what mod to use and at this point he just sounds like a broken record.
Speaking of mods for Shogun 2, is TROM (The Rights of Man) mod any good? http://www.twcenter.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=1752
