well i haven't played the campaign yet, but have spent 12 hours on multiplayer, so basically I have armstrong cannon's and French Marines (Royal Marines are the last to unlock) while most other people have shitty spear armed peasants and terrible line infantry.

Wow so judging from the thread they really did this expansion right. Which is funny because I'm pretty sure they hadn't made a decent expansion since medieval 2.

I spent a whole 2 minutes laying out my army for a battle, and then after pressing the "Start battle button" nothing happens. Damn this inconvenience!

How is fall of the samurai in comparison with n:tw?

They will charge you with Yari and move closer and closer with infantry until eventually going into melee. They also use their general to flank you, which sucks because I haven't invested in any cav yet.

Flanking will be the least of your concerns.

The Emperor wants the Westerners out right?[/QUOTE] Nope, other way round, at least historically, the Imperial Court was all for modernisation (even if it was just so that westerners couldn't steamroll them) The Shogunate wasn't, because then they'd lose their power.

The AI in FoTS is brilliant, I love it! Everytime I lose feels great.

Hmm. I don't really ever feel like installing Napoleon. Empire and Darthmod UC has superior scope anyway. I just wish we could get a global mod for Napoleon so i could enjoy the improved mechanics. The modding scene never really recovered since Empire. No one is doing total conversions anymore... as in different eras and different factions. It's all just retreads of what's already there. Dull as fuck.

Anyone know how to have more then 2 Naval bombardments per Battle? I have like 4 gunboats in 1 fleet and it still says "Only 2 Per battle"

I have the max navy size and I still only get 2. (Shells also seem to be capped at 48) Generally the more ships present, the bigger the coverage area and the shorter the time it takes to reload.

I picked up SHOGUN 2 and rise of the samurai the other day, I really wish I got this game earlier. SHAMEFRU DISPRAY.

Im having a hard time keeping my people happy, because of modernisation. And dammit rebels can make me rage so hard.

I caved and bought Fall of the Samurai. [I]OH MY GOD 30GB.[/I] Seriously, what do they do to their games that make them take up so much space? MTW2 was two DVDs plus another 11gb or so for Kingdoms, ETW was 24gb.
