i want bloodlines (kids and stuff) back and for them to play a more important role (like in the first medieval, but again more important).
Is Fall of the Samurai worth it?
Well I mean they did try to conquer Rome and shit
To be fair the whole Carthage and Roman war thing started due to petty politics in Sicily over who could have more power.
The Romans were huge dicks after winning the first war to the point they completely crushed Carthage that Carthage were willing to hand over all their weapons and resources to the Romans in return for peace in which the Romans then broke their word and destroyed them. It's a bit sad really.

It's far better than Shogun 2 imo.

To be honest I think Hannibal's campaign was pretty good revenge on Carthage's part.
I feel sorry for Carthage. They didn't deserve having their city burned to the ground and the land salted.
In their heyday, they were the biggest, baddest civilization aside from Ptolemy's Egypt. And then they wanted to conquer Rome. Carthage literally isn't a country anymore.
Damn, those scans have got me so pumped for Rome II. I hope they take all the best features of what they've done throughout and incorporate them into this game. They've had a lot of time to learn what can and cannot work and I'm sure they know how to improve what they have.
It may very well be the best RTS game of the century.
Still going to sport poor battle and campaign AI and cheating computer players.

Wait a week or two after release and you'll probably see Darthmod Rome 2.

I've only tried darthmod for Shogun 2 but the only star wars related stuff is a couple things in the launcher and the desktop icon which really doesn't bother me at all.
Darthmod for empire was the last thing I saw before my graphics card died so I'm pretty scared of using darthmod now.

The intro they made for Empire was awesome.

Honestly I hope Europa barborum2 electric boogaloo gets made. Darth mod is alright, but there's no comparison for EB.
So is Darthmod for Napoleon any good?
Or, is any mod for Napoleon any good?
Decided to do the RTI in Empire so I can unlock America. Fuckin William Howe is a god damn demigod. I killed him at Bunker Hill, he shows up in NY on the first turn. He then leads an attack on Boston which he is ultimately killed in. Few turns later I send George W out to clear the lands around Boston. Surprise surprise, William Howe is chillin in my cotton fields with a 14lber and militia. Again he is killed however George W is killed by a ROUTING artillery unit as he's running them down. Needless to say I started over.
I bought Shogun 2 complete, who wants to play Co-Op?

The romans were huge bastards all around, they did the same shit with lusithans, slaughtered the shit out of them when their armies met to celebrate peace and relinquish weapons.
To be fair, the Romans were usually rather nice, assuming you surrendered. They allowed most peoples they conquered to govern themselves as always. Obviously they were forced to trade and supply troops, but that was a small price to pay to be under the protection of Rome.

Really? What a jerk.

Yeah, it is ridiculous when 90% of the time they are portrayed as the good guys.

Depends on who was in charge and what area you are talking about. You gotta remember that Roman history spans hundreds of years, and there were different attitudes about how to rule newly conquered provinces.
Jesus christ, I started a high combat difficulty campaign as the brutii. Do they fuckign feed hoplites steroids? I surrounded a unit of hoplites with 4/5 hastati. They had no general and they STILL fucking survived for 5 minutes. I surrounded a second unit of hoplites with 3 hastati and 2 merc hoplites. occasional cavalry charges, cretan fire arrows. They fucking massacred my troops. Seriously, I'm pretty sure the only viable strategy agaisnt those fuckers is just spamming pilas and crossing your fingers.

whoever writes these pages is a fucking genius
ten hundred years of playing total war games and I just noticed that you can change your unit names in nappy total war
say hello to second battery of titwizards and other mature names
Just started Shogun 2, i am totally new to it, are the Date any good for a start?
Ya Date is a good starting clan. You get a blacksmith right away, excellent samurai, and you've got your back to the ocean which is hella useful if you're new.
Do we have a clan?
