I'm curious as to which nations will be playable.
Did that Carthaginian just get pushed off of the motherfucking wall by a Roman soldier? hurray for tiny but cool details
So that's why in the Rome series the actors would go around with huge dildo's when playing a fool.
having a small dick was also a sign of intelligence too.
Did that Carthaginian just get pushed off of the motherfucking wall by a Roman soldier? hurray for tiny but cool details
Probably just a cinematic or a scripted animation playing out, I will be very surprised if CA went into that much detail with the combat.
Probably just a cinematic or a scripted animation playing out, I will be very surprised if CA went into that much detail with the combat.
Your lack of faith is kinda depressingly sad since pushing off the wall has been present since at LEAST Rome 1.
It still has about a year of development time left so little details like the wall push are probably going to be everywhere.
Did that Carthaginian just get pushed off of the motherfucking wall by a Roman soldier? hurray for tiny but cool details
he was trying to help him back up but he slipped :(
Did that Carthaginian just get pushed off of the motherfucking wall by a Roman soldier? hurray for tiny but cool details
He was doing one of those shove pranks, but took it too far :c
He was doing one of those shove pranks, but took it too far :c
And thus began the First Punic war.
having a small dick was also a sign of intelligence too.
I can confirm this
Your lack of faith is kinda depressingly sad since pushing off the wall has been present since at LEAST Rome 1.
After playing Shogun II again, I realize now that they have been putting INSANE amounts of detail into unit interaction. It looks great, I just hope the units wont clip as bad as the other Total War games.
I've never seen them clip, actually. Any specific games in which it's happened?
Every TW game ever?
Your lack of faith is kinda depressingly sad since pushing off the wall has been present since at LEAST Rome 1.
I meant how there is animation in play showing the guy throwing him off the wall, unless I am blind I have never ever seen animation where a man throws another off a wall. I know that they can fall off them, Ive seen that happen countless times. I am talking about this: And don't question my lack of faith to the Total War series. [sp]See that high rising line in the background? thats my HRE score[/sp] [sp]And I hated N:TW[/sp] That isn't including the hundreds of hours I spent on the retail copies of R:TW and M2:TW.
Zinger-post
That is by god the cutest zinger ever. I bet your eyes are blue. Yeah. N:TW is kinda shallow. But damn. If Darthmod got fixed so the REAL nordic faction was playable instead of those flower-power Norwegians, i'd totally get into it.
Reviving this thread. I somehow managed to make peace with the Rebel faction in Rome: Total War. No idea how. v:v:v
Decided to play the Peninsular campaign in Napoleon on the highest difficulty as the British. ...Never again.
I know the AI cheats and everything, I've gotten more then used to it, but this is ridiculous. The Scottish have spent the entire game squatting in their frozen waste, except for a brief period when I sacked their capital and turned their army into fertilizer. Then, while I'm busy putting down a rebellion in Languedoc, they shit out five nearly full-stack armies and sack York. I just can't stand it sometimes. On another note, can anyone explain why my Bishop isn't Pope here? I mean, I got the most votes after all. (It's Enrico Blois-Boulouge by the way.) Oh wow, not that any of that matters because my game crashes without fail on turn 50. Oh well.
You know what I want to see? A total war game set in Pre-colonial America. Playing as the aztecs or the mayans in jungle heavy scenarios and shit, maybe get the colonists later in the game. One of the achievements for the spanish could be La noche triste for getting booted out of tenochtitlan :v:
I hate forest warfare though, jungle warfare would be an even bigger bitch. Fucking invisible units and trees obscuring my view of battle.
The key to forest warfare is disposable cavalry and rushing infantry.
at first i was going to call you stupid but then i remembered i was in the total war thread i agree 100%
The key to forest warfare is disposable cavalry and rushing infantry.
I always win forest battles, but I lose so many god damned men because I can't see the battlefield clearly enough. The minimap only slightly helps (though really, the minimap's main goal is to keep you aware of the whole situation and any flanking maneuvers) but when it comes to close-combat, you gotta see things clearly. I always lose a tonne of men even if I'm in a superior army, mainly because my men just clump with the enemy and it becomes difficult as hell to see who is who. Always makes me sad.
I have a question for all of you. What is your favorite faction in Empire: Total War?
I have a question for all of you. What is your favorite faction in Empire: Total War?
If it's default, the Maratha Confederacy, and if it's with the All Factions Mod, Italian States.
Forest battles are such cluster fucks. I'll be trying to keep all my infantry from accidentally walking up to a Balrog shaped tree when 500 heavy cavalry pop out and smash my archers into soup. And I have a very static command style, so unless the enemy comes to me I'm always going to lost a lot of men.
I have a question for all of you. What is your favorite faction in Empire: Total War?
Russia or Sweden.
America. Why? Because we fucking won.
England, rules the waves. And I like smashing America when they get their first town.

That city hnnnnnnngnng, I just hope it's not scenery or faked. I want to be able to fight in those streets instead of the recent games with featureless courtyards surrounded by walls.
