They spoke their native toungues in Empire, too.
The pre-battle speeches better be in english this time around
Shogun 2's speeches were terrible because of it being in native languages
I hope we can get manual controls for elephants, like we can for cannons. Man, that would be fucking badass.

I dont know. from what I know even Historical re-enactors have trouble with speaking languages from that era.

I love being screamed at by battle-hardened Prussian military commanders as much as the next man, but I eventually got tired of hearing the same quotes over and over again. So I'm hoping Rome II adds more dialogue for them.

no one knows how to speak fluent latin dude
same with every other language during that time period, no one thought "hey lets make a dictionary so people can make video games more realistic in the future"

It doesn't need to be 100% accurate since nobody understands it. In Civ V it's convincing enough imo.

You mean the first Shogun? I don't think that's even on Steam, but if you are talking about the second then yeah its in the package. But to answer your question, all the games are worth it.

Playing as the Mughals for the first time. They're actually really fun, if you can manage the unrest and underdevelopment in the early game, your set if you can unite all of India. Beware of the Westerners though(namely Britain), for they love dabbling in India.

Gifted my friends Rome total war and Empire total war so they can get the same feeling I have when I play the games. Gonna have fun playing games with people I actually know for the next month of so... :v:
I'm pretty much waiting for my graphics card to arrive so i can play E:TW, the naval battles look like good fun.

The naval battles to me are like a game within a game. They're a nice little thing to distract yourself with, their fucking gorgeous, and you can get some serious Role Playing going on due to naming ships feature (I named an entire fleet after League of Legends champions xD). While the small skirmishes can be repetitive, the large scale naval battles with huge 3-decked ships of the line are awe-inspiringly epic.
So France is massing an army in a port next to me.
And then they went to war with the thirteen colonies with like 7 more major nations, I can't deal with that.
United States sent three trade ships to attack my sloop.
Auto resolved it expecting to lose.

So the total war games are downloading slow for me and I so far only got Napoleon.
Which game should I download first and play besides Rome/Napoleon?
