So is there a good seed for a alpine like map?
Try Cakehat for a series of islands, or Laser for a nice large desert behind where you spawn, and gm_flatgrass is a huge forest which sets on fire as soon as the level starts thanks to a lava spring right next to the spawn.
Glacier, floating islands and sheer mountains. Just do it.
Not sure if this has been mentioned but Glacier makes a fucking awesome map.
