EDIT: 0,0 is ocean, I think I spawned on the islands closest to it. It was like 12, 64. I couldn't tell because after a while all I can see when I press F3 is a moving gradient.

'Sahara' also gives a cool desert
'johnnybravo' makes for a pretty nice forest.

BIGBOOTYBITCHES makes a pretty good land with all kinds of resources nearby. Also at 5;-130 (iirc) there's a skeleton spawner and a hanging cliff above it.
