It seems odd to me that you wouldn't be able to play it in English, English is a major language in Europe and most installations allow you to choose localization options for games. The Amazon.de page also lists the language as English, German

Server-Fuck. Anyway I played a total of like, 12 minutes or so, didn't do much or get far. I can run it on max which is great, so far it looks good but I didn't sleep last night I've been up two days straight and I can't read the text anymore or concentrate. I was running all over god's creation to get the game, mission accomplished atleast. In addition, I got the normal version of CoP and the disk says "Deluxe Edition" or something, it came with stickers, a map/poster thing and the booklet. Not bad.

Wouldn't it be cool if that the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Ownership checker thing added your STALKER Games to your account if they did that I'd send a bottle of my Jizz to Gabe.

all of the editions of CoP have the map and stickers. there is no basic.

Well, I've tried my best to find out what the STALKER Ownership Checker is, but no luck. I can't find anything in the steam folder related to it. I'd thought of just doing a steam backup and checking that, then I did and remembered I'd need a .sid unpacker to do that. [editline]10:39PM[/editline] I found this in a .vdf file, relating to app 41710, which is the Ownership Checker, according to Steam. I probably don't see everything in it, so someone more experienced with this will have to tell me if there's anything important here. I've searched the entire steam folder, I've looked up app numbers, I've backed it up, and extracted the .sid hoping to see what it was, and there was nothing but default Steam files. In short, I think it hasn't actually downloaded yet.

I got both SOC and CS in the Xmas sale for like 7 bucks total. I played SOC with Complete 2009. I need to install x64 for all the texture usage, me thinks. Should I join a faction. I plan on only one play though so I want the fullest experience first. I got about 5 hours on the game, but havent touched it after one of the recent TF2 updates... Then Mass effect 2... Then Bad Company beta. I got lots to play and finish.
