LOL STALKER IN MY ARMA 2?
hurr
Added another trailer.
Also, it's more likely then you think it's been done before.
That reply made you seem to like a dick to be honest. No matter the meaning.
I've been reading the critic reviews and I'm quite disappointed in what they thought. Like all critics, if it's not what they want or expect it to be, it's some kind of con. They knocked down the average score because of difficulty and the "shitty" weaponry at the beginning of the game. First of all, the difficulty all depends upon how you play, if you frequently fight from behind cover and take pot-shots at the chest and head, the game suddenly becomes much easier. Secondly, they give you a Sun-Rise suit and an AK-74m at the beginning of the game, what more do you want? Most of the people seem to ignore the fact that there are far less bugs and many new, well-implemented features that only existed in must-have mods previously.
Apart from them bitching about how hard it was (because they play too many casual FPS games) they managed to get across one good flaw I guess you could say. They pointed out that there is absolutely no tutorial what-so-ever or beginning mission that shows you the mechanics of the game. To me, and everyone else here, this is no big deal. We have all played S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and know how to survive, but I can certainly imagine some new players to the series who will have a hard time learning the game.

So anyways, on GSC Wolfehunter is all like, "yo guys I'm gonna need some beta testers soon."
Steam still hasn't responded to my offer of one cat drawing in exchange for an $18 discount on SoC :(
Sorry to ask again, guys, but the older topic is long gone.
What's the console command to fix the shadows at the edge of the screen being all fucked up?
Fuck thisssssss
I've got used to it but it would be fantastic to get rid of it.
omg anti aliasing is so cool
Oh no, not this again :frog:
we don't need another Jaggies Incident.
Fuck, I'm a few € short of CoP, luckily, my friend owes me >:d
While it's good that CoP has working AA, it eats FPS like nothing else. Had to turn it off, it was making aiming floaty as well, as if I had vsync on. I guess X-Ray just wasn't meant to have AA.
[editline]10:33PM[/editline]
Steam is back up, yay
Why are bloodsuckers so much harder to kill in CoP?
:ohdear:
Everything is harder to kill in CoP.
The goddamn dogs are zipping around like they're got rockets up their asses.
The dogs are a pain in the ass, Pesudo ones too. But they don't do much damage so thank god. Everything else I can pick off at a distance or they're big enough for me to pump full of lead when they charge me or to dodge and outrun.
I bunny hop over dogs when they try to charge me.
I use a shotgun as my primary, so eh, mutants aren't a problem. My awesome upgraded Beretta M9 takes care of the precision work.

AK-74 Rapid and Benilli Short for me.
We've got another one, boys.

Damn, that Sled88 guy just keeps on pumping them out. I wonder if he took heed of what a certain Czech mission maker on the BI Forums said a long while ago...

Play with it until the shadows are gone.
[release]In November 2007 GSC got Xbox 360 developer rights. They now have permission to make games for the Xbox 360. In September 2009 GSC announced that it will port STALKER to the consoles (360, possibly PS3, Wii, and PSP) but only after Call of Pripyat comes out because of the lack of man-power in GSC.[/release]
I'm not sure if this is accurate, but does this mean that we aren't in store for a new S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game for a while?
CoP is the last of the original annual trilogy, so would that mean that we get a port in 2011, followed by an interminable wait for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2?
Also, how would the proposed MMO factor into this?

Source fucking where?
Source fucking where?
Devs are "seriously considering" it.
But they claim it would require a new engine.

[release]2. Will there be S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Online?
We do not quite understand what you mean by "online". If it is the cooperative mode, then no, there will be none. Even at the time of development of the first part of the game we said that a cooperative mode is impossible, since Life Simulation would be different at each computer. Synchronizing it would be practically not doable. If you mean an MMOG, then we are seriously considering it.
Why are bloodsuckers so much harder to kill in CoP?
:ohdear:
cause after attacking they go invisible again and make you loose sight of him and then kill you from behind
Got some links for all this stuff? Too lazy to shift back about 5 threads to find a post with the alphas in it, And I'd still be patch-less.

Here, my mini guide to the leaks from god only knows how many threads ago:
All of the "released" beta builds for ShoC are on the Gameinator forums along with a lot of patches and mods for the various betas. Just click on the relevant topic for further reading, mods and user made patches.
http://www.gameru.net/forum/index.php?showforum=218
So far 1935 is the best (read: most stable and content rich) single player build of ShoC I've played to date, although I haven't tried 2205 yet.
-Note: this has since changed. 2205 kicks ass. Get it. NOW. The bloodsuckers in it are awesome and the quests are really cool.
1510/1 is okay and includes some interesting test maps to mess around in. From what I can tell there is no AI and the vehicles bleed when shot.
1114 is also passable and somewhat playable. Not much to really say about it on my end. Play it if you want to say you have, but really just skip 1114 and go for 1154. There are more interesting mods and it seems slightly more stable on my PC at least.
1098 is the oldest one and has the infamous Mayan/Aztec ruins. Only build that shows off the original design of STALKER, when it's plot was something like StarGate and the player would travel to different alien worlds.
Don't touch 1469 as you will NOT be able to get it to render or even run on your computer, guaranteed. Also, 1850 is available for download but it's in a protected archive and so far no has been able to figure out the password. They apparently got it from the public GSC file server when someone from GSC posted it on accident.
---
Any build I haven't talked about is a multiplayer build. I haven't tried any of the Multiplayer builds and have no want or intention too. If someone else wants to then they are also available for download. And if anyone is wondering about legality, GSC has pretty much said all this stuff is okay to have as long as it doesn't appear in a retail or commercial product.
Have fun.
My god. I just remebered when A dog jumped at me and I went flying up onto a tree out the front of the bar.
I had no way of getting down with out dieing. Turns out, Knifing a big pack of dogs uses alot of medkits and bandages.....
No screenies from it though, Was to busy laughing.

I got bored, so I opened photoshop and messed with the colors of a photo I took, I think its neat.
it's supposed to be a blowout by the way.
Devs are "seriously considering" it.
Ah hell naw. I don't want STALKER to become an MMO, that would destroy the game. Why can't they just make fucking COOP and stick to that.
one thing why has Germany Call of Pripyat Allready?, and we who want English version doesnt get it early. how exactly would that destroy the game

2205 sounds very tempting.
But someone should create a community for playing the 2215 multiplayer alpha which had the possibility to spawn NPC's in multiplayer http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wN3LWhgnILw
AK-74 Rapid and Benilli Short for me.
Good to see I'm not the only fan of the sawn off Benilli.
how exactly would that destroy the game
MMO's make any game tedious and drab and most likely fuck up the community and game style. It is best to avoid them but to developers it looks like a gold mine. It is a sad reality.
