S.T.A.L.K.E.R Series Megathread: Horseradish Carnage Suit edition. - Games

Fuck's sake, this is driving me insane. I want my DX11, but it won't give it to me, turns out Dirt 2 wasn't running in DX11 either and the Uningine benchmark doesn't either. I have a 5770 and I just updated to the latest drivers, whyyyy won't it workkkkkk. :frown:

Anyone know a place where I can find Shadow of Chernobyl Radiation Edition and Clear Sky Collectors Edition? I need a place that will ship to USA.

As a first time player, would it be a good idea to get LURK? I had a look at it and it seemed amazing. Are there any drastic changes to gameplay that speaks against getting it? I love the idea of having more weapons etc since I do like having alot of choices.

I would recommend you to glitch into Freedom's armory, take a Bulldog 6 and give it to Duty's General Voronin to recieve a PSZ-9Md Universal Protection Suit, it's quite good and it'll keep you protected until you mow some la--- I mean do some jobs to get the cash needed for Exoskeleton.

If you head to the NPP the monolith there will carry some.

Finally got COP D: It's so well optimized and I'm loving the characters. Any mods that allow me to sell weapons properly without having to repair them?

I'm doing various missions right now for Freedom before I head to X16, which after I beat according to the wiki, I can actually get that mission from Voronin.

You'll find loads of Exoskeletons later on.

Speaking of best equipment, what would be the overall best weapon in the game in your guys' opinions? Everyone seems to use the GP-37 (G36k), and I'm liking how it handles so far. Puts down bloodies and humans fairly easily.

I can't even look at some of the ''perfect'' guns without vomiting. No thank you, I'll be staying with my IL, my Dragunov and my Abakan.

In SoC I never got an Exosuit. I didn't really spend that long in the place with the Freedom base either, and never went to Military Warehouses at all. After doing a couple of odd jobs for Freedom I just waded right into the forest never to return from the radioactive north. I don't even know how to get the Wishgranter endings, I just got inside the NPP and fought my way all the way to the 'real' ending, all this time only getting new equipment when I found it on and around the dead, ended up with a Monolith suit and switching rifles every few minutes. I kind of regret it, I pretty much only did the main missions and barely any exploration at all, still lasted me a very, very long time.
