Mid summer of 2010 but I remember playing minecraft creative before that.
Sometime in August 2009, they had a little blurb about Minecraft in PCPP Magazine (for Australians), and I decided to give it a go, so I purchased it.
Exact same for me! That was awesome.
I played it first even before the final creative mode version, but quickly got bored and stopped playing until I bought it shortly after infdev was released.
May 4th, 2010 1:16 AM according to my minecraft folder.
I was given a pirated version in August 2010, but I only bought it legit December 2010. I feel kinda bad for pirating it. (User was banned for this post ("Warez" - Orkel))
I first played it early 2010, didn't really care for it. But when it went free when the log in servers were down, that's when I really got into it and bought it shortly after.

I bought it a few months ago, but I don't play it much, I would play it more but none of my friends own it/ want to buy it :(
After the Nether came out :D
Friend bought it for me on christmas.
I started back when indev was all the fly and you had special world creating applications made by the users that created huge worlds which were not supported by Minecraft by default.. That was a long while ago.
Last day of Alpha. :v:
July 2009
Played it before creative, back when you had to find a block of the type you wanted to be able to make it (before the B menu existed)
November 1, 2010
Sometime when the first Minecraft thread showed up on FP

Not sure when, but I remember infdev just being released.
I was playing this when it first came out as creative. Anyone remember the multi world servers? I always thought the lobbies they had for the worlds looked really cool.
I bought it at the end of summer 2010, had been thinking about it for a while and tried classic for a few days.
Back when it was talked about in the infiniminer thread.
Around the time notch started adding the better lighting to indev.
The official TF2 blog mentioned it, so I gave it a try :v: Now I'm hooked on cubes.
One week before the Halloween update.
Day before beta release. I thought I'd end up buying it eventually so it was worth buying while it was technically in the alpha phase. I did play the in browser classic version some time before this though.
I was around 900 - 1000 purchaser. When i see the gold block in beta i nostalgia because i used to think that the old gold block was wool wrapped in plastic. :unsmith:
The first time I tried it was 10 days after the release of the first public version of Minecraft. I tried it a few times and forgot about it until August 2010 when I bought it.
Around indev :sax:
Before indev, when the whole point of Minecraft was only to build :smug:
Day 4 :smug: And I still can't build cool shit.
