So it doesn't apply to direct melee or ranged combat?
Explosions, things falling or sweeping through an area and projectiles that would travel through a few targets like lightning is generally what reflex saves are for.
Explosions
That in particular i have always though to be strange, how the hell do you dodge explosions?
That in particular i have always though to be strange, how the hell do you dodge explosions?
You jump away? For example, you notice that a floortile clicks as you step on it, and you go "OH FUCK" and roll away as fast as you can.
Not this Steam bullshit again, two Wednesdays in a row.
That in particular i have always though to be strange, how the hell do you dodge explosions?
If you fail your save you don't turn away and strike a pose fast enough, explosions don't do any damage if they happen behind you while you look bad ass.

Diving to the ground, covering yourself as much as you can with your cloak, etc.
You still get the save, if you tell your 3.5 players they don't get the save tables WILL be flipped, hence why 1e and 2e are better. The players have to respect the DM

This was one of the first concerns i had so i basically laid it out for them, what i said goes.
Going to look for a n/oWoD game elsewhere, folks.
Despite my best efforts, I can't think of a way to adapt Silent Hill into a tabletop RPG. Best I could come up with is a guide on how to twist your players' fears and inner pysches into mutilated monsters and other macabre machinations. Also, the feeling of isolation is rather lost with someone dictating the action.
That guide could be useful for non-Silent Hill games as well.
That guide could be useful for non-Silent Hill games as well.
True, but I don't think I could write such a thing.
You could potentially play silent hill with Don't Rest Your Head...
You could potentially play silent hill with Don't Rest Your Head...
I don't even know what that is.
Google it :V
I don't even know what that is.
~~scary~~ tabletop version.
Google'd "Don't rest your head" Among the first result there was a TvTropes page that said that the game has a power that let's you summon endless armies of ninja's. Sounds like Silent Hill to me.

Yeah but THE first result is the game itself, and it's awesome
Game: Dark Heresy Time: Sunday 1st, 12PM GMT-6 GM: Nitrowing Players: Negrul1 - (Scum) vinh255 - (Assassin) drunkenmoose - (Tech-Preist) xxfalconxx - (Cleric) Maximo13 - (Arbitrator) doomkiwi - (Psyker)
Game takes place Sunday as usual only this time I'm hoping we could start a bit earlier say at around 12PM CST rather than 3PM? Also I have yet to hear a peep from Iceblizzerd so he's either barred from the internet or just being plain rude; either way it leaves a slot open so at this point. Right now it seems that doomkiwi and vinh255 are both joining so consider the slot filled.
Anyone have any good ideas as to finding out if there are any DnD games in my local area or city?
Anyone have any good ideas as to finding out if there are any DnD games in my local area or city?
Ask the people at your FLGS, ask your city's subreddit, ask on /tg/ if anyone in your city plays, check if there's D&D encounters run at a FLGS via wotc.com
Found a Vampire: The Masquerade group on the Spoony Forums, seems my character's main motivation is trying to enjoy a good holiday in the States.
doomkiwi - (Psyker)
Finally you have a Psyker, you simply can't have a proper Dark Heresy group without a Psyker that fucks all your plans up.
Finally you have a Psyker, you simply can't have a proper Dark Heresy group without a Psyker that fucks all your plans up.
I know, right? All those insanity points and daemonhosts have to come from somewhere.
Aight who the fuck deleted the nWOD folder on Dropbox.
I know, right? All those insanity points and daemonhosts have to come from somewhere.
oh god
Aight who the fuck deleted the nWOD folder on Dropbox.
Deleted at 1933 GMT yesterday by whoever Pepe is, I tried restoring everything but it's not letting me.
oh god
It's a good thing.
