Does D&D cost an arm and a leg to get into? None of my RL friends are into this kind've shit, so I don't intend to get physical stuff, was hoping there was a way to play online.

You can play using the SRD and laptops and still be in meatspace. Maptools is popular for online stuff.
Cost an arm and a leg? Hardly, Pathfinder is what, $130 for the core books? 4e has what nine core books or something?
So... sort of? I don't know really, I never thought it as expensive. The time versus money is certainly favorable.

It goes 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 00. Most dice wouldn't fit 100 and the 10 is reserved for the actual number 10. I think that's what you meant.
I find myself becoming a tabletop junkie. I'm signing up to sites everywhere looking for more games to play. But i would like to play on an actual tabletop once in a while. Rolling real dice. Scribbling changes to my character sheet rather than using a pdf editor. Books piled up on every available surface. Badly-rolling dice melting in the microwave.
I can almost smell it.

Because when dice for PnP games first came out they were terrible quality and you had to draw the numbers on yourself.
Since neckbeards have fat fingers they couldn't draw a 10 on the small face, so they drew a 0.

I also customized my large walk-in closet by adding a D&D focused table and drawers, looks pretty nice, just need some posters.

No offense but D&D minis is actually the worse skirmish wargame ever.
Like, you take rules for a party of 4 heroics and then apply them to a squad/squads of NPCs?

Yeah it's dirt cheap, but you need to buy the bases, then assemble them, base coat them, paint them, then do the actual base.
It's more skill + time intensive.
Buying a bunch of mageknight off of ebay is good though.
