I just have to say that I aim to have such a high fellowship score that I can serenade all the ladies, eventually getting enough groupies to form my own crime-solving gang of babes within a mystery-machine type van. For an underdark campaign, i would personally try to avoid using Drow as the main antagonists.
I'd say a good antagonist is black ooze.

An entire instance that takes place inside a castle sized ooze.
the ooze in our campaign just possesses creatures. And apparently is controlled by [i]evil bodaks[/i].
It doesn't eat metal though, so our warforged can just kinda walk on past it.
