So who has an introductory group open for me? Got a starter's kit (4e, I think), but it's just no fun there.
So who has an introductory group open for me? If a spot arises I'll notify you but I'm sure lots of other people in the thread should be willing to guide someone along their first few sessions of DnD.
The only good things that came from Forgotten Realms were Neverwinter, Icewind Dale, and Baldurs Gate. but those 3 are fucking awesome so yeah
I was wondering where I could find a good and easy to understand guide on how to make a 4th Edition character? I'm just starting out, got the books and everything, but it's really just confusing how they have you jump all around and do a lot of "We'll get to that later".
The only good things that came from Forgotten Realms were Neverwinter, Icewind Dale, and Baldurs Gate. but those 3 are fucking awesome so yeah
That's the only good thing about Forgotten Realms. The rest is a clusterfuck of shit.
That's the only good thing about Forgotten Realms. The rest is a clusterfuck of shit.
We're gonna have to agree to disagree on that one, i guess.
We're gonna have to agree to disagree on that one, i guess.
Well, that's like, your opinion brah. If there's anything in the DnD, it's in Forgotten Realms. It's one big clusterfuck and only part of it is good. It's way too diverse, the cosmology does not make much sense, 1e to 3.5e had an "Great Wheel" and all the damn settings in DnD are accessible through that. Forgotten Realms takes everything from those settings and throws them into one big mess of it.
Well, that's like, your opinion brah.
It's my opinion that we disagree?
Might be interested in finding another Vampire: The Masquerade game since I like playing it so much...
I bought a Hat of Disguise and spent the remainder of the session impersonating one of the other PCs that got themselves arrested.
Allright, i've decided that i will begin making a pretty much complete conversion of D20 modern, completely rewritting a lot of the really stupid parts of the rules in there. Wish me good luck, i'm going to need it to make this shit pile playable.

We scheduled our first session for this custom DnD campaign for this friday. We scheduled it on Saturday. My friend still just texted me and was like "my girlfriend and I just made plans to go see a musical on friday, can't make the session" FUCK YOUUUUUU

Oh wait, that's in reverse. Also, first thing i'm changing is how you gain HP, the quick version of it is that hit die are practically gone and you only gain very little HP at every level.
In regards to the Dark Heresy campaign, I won't be able to make it due to closing night of the play this Sunday.
Might be interested in finding another Vampire: The Masquerade game since I like playing it so much...
If you don't mind playing with me, it'd be interested in another one too. Two pairs of eyes work better than two.
"The room beyond is a series of corridors, leading, eventually, to a central room dominated by a glowing chest. The walls are interesting, fading from stone to a vaguely watery looking substance. This lets you see an intricate network of cogs and gears and lights. There is writing on the wall directly ahead of you. 'Records and treasury room. Authorised personnel only,' " Lampshade: I tap the wall with my sword DM: You touch the wall with your sword. It retains the hardness even after it fades to the liquid form. It appears to be for aesthetic purposes. Darth GW7: I bash the wall Darth GW7: just... because Darth GW7: Hey it's worth a try Darth GW7: STRENGTH CHECK * Darth GW7 rolls: d20+4 => 20 + 4 = 24 Darth GW7: ...holy SHIT [editline]9th May 2012[/editline] DM: You smash open the wall, tearing it asunder. The gears stop spinning for a second, and the room falls silent around you. Darth GW7: oh my god
And then you guys walked into the room without paying heed to the sorcerer's warnings.
Tbh who even listens to sorcs anyway? They know jackshit. XxXWzardsXxX is where it's at.
Don't be dissing Sorcs man, you're just jealous that they're naturally outfitted for social skills. Currently sitting on a Bluff of +18, shit's cash.
+15 jump bitch the best skill
Setting up a game between me and three friends, anything to keep in mind? It'll be the first time any of us play DnD. I've got the base story written down, I'm just trying to figuring out what kind of graph paper to use right now. Should I just stick with 1x1" squares?
Lampshade (Ahwassa, Female character): I take off my breastplate because I don't think armor won't help here Darth GW7: giggidy Ahwassa: I'm going to need to be fast here, I don't think this armor will be very useful in warding off the traps Elias: Like you're going to get much faster Elias: You're kind of... How do I put it Elias: ... Rigid? Ahwassa: Still faster than anyone else here at this moment Darth GW7: GIGGIDYGIGGIDYGIGGIDYGIGGIDYGIGGIDYGIGGIDYGIGGIDYGIGGIDY
Sure is a good thing you made your Dragonborn asexual, for her and Kiera's sake.
Sure is a good thing you made your Dragonborn asexual, for her and Kiera's sake.
It's a necessity for 3.5e dragonborns. No rrerr :(
It's a necessity for 3.5e dragonborns. No rrerr :(
Wait what, where the fuck is that stated in the sourcebooks?
Wait what, where the fuck is that stated in the sourcebooks?
Races of the Dragon. Basically their love is reserved purely for Bahamut and they have no room in their lives for any other romantic pursuits. Or something.
I still think it's to keep Dergon Dong from ever infesting a campaign.
