Our cleric nearly killed himself in the middle of a fight by rolling a 2 on an acrobatics check and falling off a roof last night :v:
The party in the 3.5 game I'm in that Elowin DMs found a rusted up iron golem standing in a field, ~20 minutes later I have myself a giant, unquestioning bodyguard made of metal.
It needs that rust seen to though, a shield and a weapon too, doesn't do much damage with his fists. I'm going to find someone who knows shit about golems and see if I can enchant it some more.

Enchant the iron with ice powers and have the chest piece openable, then you have a walking, fighting fridge.
I was thinking about building a watch tower on it, but I don't think it's big enough, if it isn't I'll put a bee hive on it instead.
But how will the poodle around the Golem's neck react to the bees?

How to make your party fall for a trap which would have easily been passed with a 15 perception test:
1. Present shifty guy offering a deal-
I chose a butler who had previously admitted to lying to the party.
2. Present obvious trap cliche-
I had the butler bring out steaming hot cups of tea, they thought it was poison. Nature checks all around!
3. Subvert the trap-
It was not. I trapped the cup.
4. Profit! -
I now have a plothook that can not be ignored constantly without penalty! (the handles of the cups were oath rings, everyone had made an oath previously but if I know DnD player's they'd rather go in the opposite direction of any plot hook I threw at them.)

Multiclassing is practically gone in 4E, though.

Already got Savage Species, Player's handbook 1-2-3, Monster Manual 1 (searching for 2-3) and also searching for the DM guides. What are you gonna do about it?

anybody know of any 4th ed adventures that would be good for a first time group? I'm going to DM for the first time and I'd like to run a 1st level adventure that's more interesting than keep on the shadowfell
