You can cast your fancy blood spells BUT THEY'RE NOTHING WITHOUT BLOOD.
YOU CAN DO NOTHING WITHOUT BLOOD, MAGE. YOU'RE A KINDRED NOW.
A REAL MAGE CAN CAST SPELLS OUT OF THEIR ARSE, YOU CAN RUN OUT OF BLOOD TO FUEL YOU'RE SPELLS.
REAL KINDRED ARE VENTRUE. WE DOMINATE YOUR MIND, AND SUCK THE PUREST OF THE PUREST BLOOD. WE RULE EVERYTHING, TREMERE.
EVERY. FUCKING. THING.
I was watching the third Futurama movie last night, the one loosely based on D&D. It was written/co-written by people who have played D&D.
I've got a question, at one point, Bender is playing D&D and shoots a fireball at some water to create steam to use as concealment to escape from a dragon. Is that possible to do in D&D? It may have been based on older rules.

There's no specific rule I know of, but I'd say a lot of DMs might allow that.

Got mah Changeling: The Lost game good to go once another player and I hand in our character sheets. Game is schedualled for this Thursday 7 pm GMT.
Who's up for a D&D Next playtesting? I guess we (if I get a group) will be beta-testing D&D 5e.

I've had this thought, is this the one where the True Fae are actually like aliens? Because if it is I have a possibly brilliant idea.

They are often the ones behind stories of alien abductions (although those are usually fabricated details about real disappearances), and some look like 'The Greys', yes. One story does tell of "lights in the sky".

Depends when we play.
I heard that it combines the sucky fighter-classes with 4e casters.
A game group on /tg/ even asked their DM if they could kill themselves to stop playing.
I think it would be interesting to try to see how they change the game based on the reactions they got from 4e

i signed up for the play testing stuff, if there is room for me i would love to tag along

It's /tg/. If there's anywhere that hates RPGs the most, it's /tg/.
D&D Next is decent. Rogues seem a lot more interesting.

Check here. Very core rules, really, but the disadvantage/advantage system is pretty good, although practically everything ever gives disadvantage/advantage.

Not true, /tg/ may be a shithole, but it's the best part of 4chan. (most of the time)
It usually has serious discussions, which are usually started in troll threads.
still looking for a 3.5e summer game to pick a new guy (me).

If anyone decides to stop playing with my group when we continue to play after my exams then I'll hit you up.
The Dark Heresy party entered the feudal city of Port Trasium in an off-world jeep with a mounted heavy-stubber on the back. The city is in flames and the citizens are running around in mobs killing each other. Four notice the party and break off the mob to approach the strange metal wagon.
Brynjolf: I'm going to soothe them with my amazing skills of fellowship.
"HEY YOU IDIOTS! QUIT FUCKING BURNING EVERYTHING AND GATHER ROUND FOR A SECOND!"
Rolls a 76. Now the mob is agitated and 9 peasants are charging towards the jeep.
Brynjolf: Oh wait, I have the Master Orator perk. That means my fellowships tests affect up to 10 times as many people.
90 villagers with swords and torches in hand, roar in anger and begin to storm towards the jeep.
Malek: "Nice going, jackass."
Brynjolf: "HERE! As proof, the horrible woman who infected you all with the plague had THIS heretical idol in her possession!"
He throws a golden idol on the ground from his pack
Malek: "NOOOOOOOO"
Malek jumps onto the idol and as soon as he touches them goes flying into the air
Malek: "CATCH ME CATCH ME CATCH ME CATCH ME CATCH ME CATCH ME"
Malek floats down to the ground
Random Villager #24: "... HE'S A WITCH! A WITCH BURN HIM!"
Malek: "Frak"
The moral of the story is "Brynjolf will fuck you over".
So was someone setting up a DnD next group here or only showing where to get play testing materials
ANYONE UP FOR SOME CRAB TRUCKERS MOTHERFUCKERS?

I've been thinking about a Dark Souls setting for D&D and how awesome it would be. Would anyone here be willing to try it (assuming you know anything about Dark Souls)?

Sorted out my Changeling: The Lost character. I play as a typical tiny Pixie because I'm difficult like that. We had to stretch some of the rules and hopefully I don't die straight away. I'll post more details if it doesn't end up a horrible broken mess.
