What I meant was, I have my d10. The sides go 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9.
In D&D, I roll a d10 for damage. So I obviously have to count 0 for 10. I don't know about other RPG's, but to me it doesn't make any sense. Why not just put a 10 on, instead of a 0?
Me and my friends just played DnD for the first time ever yesterday (it was 3.5e)
We were cleaning some rat infestation from an old warehouse, which was pretty unoriginal but it was the first time ever for all of us so it's alright. Anyway, one of the rats bit a player on the leg and didn't let go, so the player decided to kick it off. A couple shitty rolls later he was lying on the floor with the rat still gnawing on his leg. Then the group paladin decides to chop the rat's head off but accidentally hits it too hard and makes a wound some 1/2 inches deep into the other's leg.
Is this normal

That actually goes along with what Asgard already said. Instead of a one hundred sided die, they use two slightly modified ten sided die in place of it cause they're cheaper and easier to make that way.
I have a d10 with 1-10 on it.
It feels weird.

I've got a lot of jobhunt related shit happening, so I'm not sure if anything other than Friday or Saturday will work.

Because when you roll a d100 you roll two ten-sided dice - Usually one with 0-10 and another with 00-90. This gives a result from 1-100.
Thus if you got a 00 and a 1, this would give a result of 1. 00 and 0 = 100.
50+5 = 55, 80+0 = 80, etc. etc.
I just found a d8 on my bed, I don't even own a dice set, any tabletop game (I love .pdf's :v: ), or any dice at all except for d6's from board gmaes.

It just keeps taking and giving me one of my d10s back at random dates.
Played a good game of 3.5 yesterday. The party was an interesting mixture; One homicidal Necromancer, Another fellow who was the Necromancer's assistant and confidant, a neutral-ish Halfling rogue, and a virtuous barbarian played by myself. The campaign so far is lenient as to what the PCs can do, so there have been quite a few wanton murders and forest fires to contend with.
I await seeing shit hit the fan in time. :v:
