http://i.imgur.com/HerWz.jpg I was thinking about using that for roleplaying/campaign and legos + brikwars for combat. I wonder how that'd turn out.
So how would I balance that out so i'm not super OP
thats how it's balanced if you have a race with +2 level adjustment for example, and you would be joining a lvl 4 group with a lvl 4 character, you would be only a level 2 character as your race counts as +2 levels in addition to your current ones to represent the amount of powers your race gives you due to this, leveling up is drastically slower (if starting at lvl 1 with +2 level adjustment, you would gain your second level when everyone else with no level adjustment get their 4th level, your 3rd when rest get their 5th etc.)
so if i wanted to play with them i'd want my hd + adj to = around their levels?
You'd want your HD+ECL adjustment to be no more than 1 below the rest of the party's total character levels since you would still need to take a level in a class.
So you can't level up your monster class then?
I've always had difficulty grasping the concept of ECL, for some reason. So like... If you were lvl 1 have a +3 adjustment, would you roll HP as if you were lvl 4, or lvl 1? But I assume you would only have the class bonuses of a lvl 1 [insert class]?
So you can't level up your monster class then?
Your monster class? You mean the monster's base HD and abilities? If so then no.
I've always had difficulty grasping the concept of ECL, for some reason. So like... If you were lvl 1 have a +3 adjustment, would you roll HP as if you were lvl 4, or lvl 1? But I assume you would only have the class bonuses of a lvl 1 [insert class]?
You'd roll HP as a level 1 character of your chosen class. You'd be a level 1 character of that class as well. The ECL and HD adjustment from your non-standard race essentially counts as a class on its own except you can't gain more levels in it.
No I mean your monster class, every monster race has a class called "MONSTER'S NAME HERE" which is what it favors, that was the chart i linked. [editline]6th August 2012[/editline] oh wait so if i start a character at 7th level he'd be a 6th level -MONSTER- and then 1 level of whatever and he'd always be 6th level of that monster class?
I can never find anyone to play D&D with because I'm Australian, have no friends, and all my Teamspeak pals refuse to play because I raped a couple of people in our last game and they're weirded out. FML
I'd totally play with you if you ever asked.
Anyone know where someone can find a game to join online?
Here's the log from this night's Fallout PnP session, shenanigans inbound. http://pastebin.com/a53xEX1v

Are there any Pathfinder groups being hosted at the moment?
Are there any Pathfinder groups being hosted at the moment?
I would like to know that myself too, because I am looking for one.
Since there's 3 of us wanting to join a game, we could just find another person or two and start one.
One of you must GM!
Just played (DM'd) an actual session with roll20 for the first time. The only thing I really prefer it for is initiative tracking and seamless transition between areas in a dungeon. Being able to walk back and forth from two areas (whild using the fog of war to block visibility) is much easier than rearranging dungeon tiles or re-drawing the entire map again. However, I feel setting all of the creatures' statistics and such can be a tad annoying compared to just writing it on paper. Also, players don't seem to be as sociable during roll20 sessions, compared to when we are all together at a tabletop, but that is to be expected.

So, say you had an online store tailored towards D&D players, what kind of products would you like to see on there?
oh okay. [editline]8th August 2012[/editline] I've been wanting to create a Dark Souls pnp for AGES now but I know nobody will play it with me because nobody knows anything about Dark Souls as a setting or its lore.
