Anyone interested in some Shadowrun? European session timezone, but early-waking Americans are also welcomed. Most likely running on weekends or wednesdays, but that can be settled when we've got the group up. If you're interested, shoot me a message on Skype (fipsterwb) or Steam.

So hard to choose.
Can't remember who was in the party or DMing, but I never got a chance to apologize about dropping out of that D&D game a while back. Some schedule complications came up and I kept forgetting to tell you about it. (I was a goblin, I think) EDIT: Does anyone want to start a small game on sundays (EST)? I made a spiffy and pretty simple system for roleplaying in a post-apoc fallout type deal, and I'd love to GM 3 or 4 people.
I'm down for it. I'd love to learn your system.
Finding a group in your timezone is very important, being late can really disrupt a group, same with missing multiple sessions.
I really wish I could play this game since it looks really fun (albeit really complicated), but nobody I know wants to be anywhere near it because of how nerdy it is.
If you want to play it play it. Find a site which has gamefinder threads and find others in your area. It's not hard at all, you roll dice and make shit up.
I was thinking of running a WoD game, would anyone be interested? It would be the non supernatural branch, with a focus on being a criminal and setting up heists.
There's a non-supernatural WoD?
There's a non-supernatural WoD?
If there is, it's either so obscure that I have never heard of it, or it was horrible and I made myself forget.
There's a non-supernatural WoD?
Well you can just not use supernatural things; making it a sort of modern day rpg. There's also the Dogs of War expansion, I think that's not supernatural. Either way, I wanted to do a rpg about heists and being a criminal, and WoD seemed like an easy enough system to use.

Know of any systems I could use for my game? I could make my own, perhaps basing it off of the DH system. [editline]21st August 2012[/editline] Alright, I've thought out the rpg I was planning some more. It will be centered around setting up and performing various heists; gathering intel, preparing for the heist, infiltrating the target if possible, creating distraction events, and actually performing the heist and getting away. You'll start small time by robbing stores, and progressing towards big time heists, such as banks, jewelry stores, kidnapping VIPs, hijacking cargo planes/ships etc. You might get arrested and have to make a jail break too. I talked to a friend he like the idea. Any thoughts? I haven't thought too much on a system to use yet, might make my own based on another rpg.
I like the Storytelling/Storyteller system :(

Anyone here play Call of Cthulhu? Started playing about a week ago and it was pretty good fun. I killed a zombie with the last blow by stabbing it's ribcage with the crutches my character had to get after falling into a hole because he somehow didn't learn that you're supposed to tuck and roll in situations like that.
Sorry to keep going on about it but I think Changeling is the nWoD game most capable of standing on its own as a separate world or setting.

I'm a fast learner, and I've read a bunch about D&D etc.
I'd like to try shadowrun, never played it though.
i too would be interested, but alas my superior american timezone prevents me from doing so
i too would be interested, but alas my superior american timezone prevents me from doing so
Which makes it inferior.

How long should you wait for an absentee GM before you declare a game dead?
nWoD the core book is 100% non supernatural. Also the nWoD rule set is very clean, I think it's a really good setting. [editline]23rd August 2012[/editline]
How long should you wait for an absentee GM before you declare a game dead?
0.5 seconds seriously more like 30 minutes
How long should you wait for an absentee GM before you declare a game dead?
30 inactive minutes unless the GM tells you why he's gone, in which case you can just take a break until he's back (which is when he said he'd be back, and then starting 30 minutes after that)
I don't mean the session ended, I mean the entire cronical or campaign or whatever you want to call it.
Week, two or three. Maybe a month. Maybe a year. As long as you still have hope of continuing the campaign.
putting together a little guide for my system so people can know what I'm trying to set up, gonna post it soon.
I don't mean the session ended, I mean the entire cronical or campaign or whatever you want to call it.
half a second to half an hour
Looking forward to Fippe's Shadowrun campaign. Time to finally play the snake-like character I've always wanted.
