The only thing I contributed to our Shadowrun game was torching a disused warehouse.
To kill the ghoul infestation, right?
Nah, Mr. Johnson said "no evidence".
Cam00 was having technical problems too, hopefully next session goes smoother.
My internet was flaking out while playing Spessmens earlier today, but it's been fine for the last couple of hours, hoping it stays that way.
Woot, my D&D group is meeting tomorrow. Finally.
Well I sort of just throwed posionius throwing daggers, and sneaked a little, stabbed a poor ganger in the neck with an poisoned survival knife.
It is when you should only be dropping $60 (I owned the books before and still bought the collectors) If anyone buys the collector 3.5 books they should literally take their own life. The collector 3.5 books are the worst idea ever and you can not justify them in any way.
Uh, they're collector edition 1eAD&D books.
So I show up at friend A's house for D&D today, with another one of my friends. It turns out that the DM said that D&D was at friend A's house, but neglected to actually tell him. So no D&D for me. Sad.
So I'm running a Call of Cthulhu game for a couple of friends set during the 1890s... I have a slight problem though... I have no idea what to do for combat until the later levels because I have no idea what combat to set in 1890s London. Any ideas guys?
Muggers? Highwaymen? Bandits?
That and mysterious strangers attempting to impede investigation. You could have some make themselves look like muggers, but have strange figures watching from a safe distance all leave when the fight is over/an important research object stolen.
Muggers? Highwaymen? Bandits?
I know that London isn't the nicest city in the world at that point in time (actually it was rather nice in parts), but who's NOT going to run as soon as they get a look at the hand-cannon in one of their holsters?
A contest of witty reparté with a bearded gentleman of the House of Lords.
How appropriate, you fight like a cow.

"Earlier this year, we announced the release of the 1st Edition core rulebook premium reprints."
I already said I owned those 1e reprints. As I said they're fine but super over priced. I was saying the 3.5 ones are for retards.
Is it okay to ask about other RPG's in this thread? I have some questions, but I think making an entirely separate thread would be a bad idea.
Go for it, we should really change the name of the thread to something about general non-videogame RPGs.
Alright, cool. So I am pretty new to RPG's, just played a few scenarios among friends (Specifically AD&d 2.0) and now I am the keeper for Call of Cthulhu. So far I've done 2 scenarios, adapted for modern settings, The haunted house one and The Madman. I think I have a pretty good understanding of the mechanics and gameplay, but I want to write the next scenario pretty much from scratch. That's the background, my question is, what are some appropriate dangers for 3 investigators who have been through one or two scenarios? I want them to feel challenged, but I don't want them to die before reaching the end of the mystery. If I need to give you guys a more specific outline of the scenario I am planning, I'd be happy to say more.

It would also add an element of urgency, knowing that their friend will be lost forever if they don't do this right.

A lot of players would probably outright pursue getting turned into an eldritch abomination of death and destruction, but very very few want to be furries. Unless the player happens to actually be a furry ofcourse, in which case I suppose the other option is better.

You could make a short and easy mystery for the purpose of one of them receiving the curse. EVEN BETTER- They're trapped by an insane magic-user who makes them decide which one of them to be cursed. Until they decide, some powerful horror is ready to be summoned in their attempted escape, but when they do they're "Let free".

The person whose house we were holding D&D at didn't learn about it until about two hours before I did. And that was still only about three hours before D&D even started.
Looking for a 3rd game, got D&D and Fallout going on but my group's Changeling: the Lost ST seems to have abandoned us. So anyone know of with a WoD (old or new) or a superhero RPG going on or starting up?
