Our Exalted campaign that's been running since the start of summer finally ended this weekend. Let me tell you, after dealing with Sidereal trickery and subterfuge and running away for a month and a half, getting to corner them and rend them limb from limb with one's bare claws while shrugging off their blows and staying mote-stable through badass stunting is so fucking satisfying
Im GMing a Rifts game this time around in our local group. Its a nice fresh change from the DnD 3.5 and pathfinder we are used to.
Has anyone checked out 5.0 (beta)? It's taking a few steps forward from the abomination that is 4.0, but that's still several steps behind 3.5/3.75 [imo].

Been reading through the 4e books and made ready to go characters for 4e and 3.5e now just waiting for games to play. since this rural town is shit out of tabletop players... been looking on roll20 but if there anyone running games here I'm willing to play either and if you have other type of games I would be willing depending on the direction of the campaign.
Anyone playing 3.5 at all
i am but only in irl meetups
Yo, Otherguy, I managed to work out the M&M powers. My sheet's ready.
Does anyone have that small single A4-sized Mini RPG image?
Does anyone know of any DnD Modern versions? I know Shadowrun is even more expansive with its rulesets and chemistry, but I'm just tired of fantasy and would like a god damn assault rifle.
d20 Modern is pretty much that, but I'm not keen on the system.
I just remembered about that Rents. I'm looking at the core rulebook right now. I remember at one point, a couple of friends and myself were working on modyfing the Battletech system to work with DnD. Mainly because of the Core/Armor system. [editline]27th September 2012[/editline] FUCK THIS, FOUND ONE THAT WORKS WITH PATHFINDER.
Err, change the Battletech system to work with all infantry combat? That does not sound easy.
Know what isn't easy either? Making d20 Modern good.
Err, change the Battletech system to work with all infantry combat? That does not sound easy.
It was very difficult, we had only gotten the body armor working when we ran into issues with math. And then final exams came up and we dumped the whole idea to save our grades.
Oh no, someone made a judgement on an edition of D&D! Everyone run for your lives!
Oh no, someone completely missed the point of my post! Here is the sign-up, if anyone's interested. (I'm pretty sure there's a one-step activation). http://dndplaytest.wizards.com/ There's an NDA, so I figured I'd give you guys the source instead of just dumping the .pdf's. As you will see: it's largely incomplete (only goes up to 3rd level spells), but there are many interesting mechanics present.

[editline]28th September 2012[/editline] I really think I'm becoming a tabletop RPG junkie. It's too bad I can only play one day a week, because the people I play with can only do it that often. I really want to try out these new games, but I want to continue our fallout game just as much. Damn... If I could play every other day, I would.
Wait, there's a tabletop PnP thread? How the hell did I not notice it earlier. I'll just drop the logs from a Fallout PnP game I'm in here, then. Darkmime77/Dwarfy is a hella GM, lemme tell you that.

We're just using the "Many Faces, One Mask" campaign to start with though. Our characters are; Clyde, a slightly unstable mechanical genius, who has a bit of a mean streak and is good with a rifle. (me) Don Pablo, a borderline mentally retarded Mexican super mutant, who Clyde outfitted with a beak somewhat resembling a falcon. Samantha (aka tits): A stealth/speech character somewhat similar to "The Lady" in your campaign. Jordan, an android whose main melee attack is a crowbar that was stuck in his face. (He attacks by running up to someone and beating them in with his head.) And lastly, Bill, our resident scientist who is no use in any combat situation whatsoever, but is a fairly good driver.
No dog? 0/10 would not read about again.
No dog? 0/10 would not read about again.
No one wanted to play as a dog I guess. [editline]29th September 2012[/editline] Also, when we refer to Samantha, we always say "Samantha, aka tits".
Use Hero Lab, the demo version is free and it does all the power limit calculation and junk for you. Creating more builds than I would be able to play in my lifetime.
I've finalised my nickname for Call of Cthulu, Why Bother?: the RPG.
Dang this thing is addicting. Creating more builds than I would be able to play in my lifetime.
the sheets for D&D 4e don't list rogue as a class.
You know what I realized? That Dragon Age not having multiplayer is kind of a disappointment. I mean I see where some things could be an issue, but Neverwinter Nights and all those other games had multiplayer through the vanilla campaign! I just wanna kill darkspawn with my buddy :( also anyone know where to get NWN2? I really don't wanna get it retail (because effort) but both Steam and GoG neglect to sell it.

It would require a reworking of the narrative and so many other ideas that it would of had to of been a core concept before they even started creating anything. I'd of liked it though.
also anyone know where to get NWN2? I really don't wanna get it retail (because effort) but both Steam and GoG neglect to sell it.
Steam used to have NWN2. Bought it a long while back. Anyone know why it disappeared? I'd heard it was due to some Hasbro vs Atari lawsuit.
I see my friends playing it on Steam a lot and I'm saddened by it not being around anymore. If worst comes to worse I'll just order Platinum off of Amazon and wait the week to get it, the multiplayer just seems too good to pass up
