What's the best race for an unarmed class anyway? Like knocking people out and shit like that
When I play monk I prefer to go human or maybe half-orc.
What's the best race for an unarmed class anyway? Like knocking people out and shit like that
Halfling obviously.
What's the best race for an unarmed class anyway? Like knocking people out and shit like that
Pixie
Well, I mean in term of racials. Isn't there a race that has claws?
Well, I mean in term of racials. Isn't there a race that has claws?
Plenty, but it's certainly not guaranteed that your DM would agree to you using any of the more monstrous races.
My DM is new to DMing, only been doing it for 5 weeks or so. [editline]11th November 2012[/editline] Also anyone wanna start a roll20 game? I've been dying to try out one of these characters I've made.
Does anyone know a vampire joke or two that might fit into a DnD campaign? I'm playing a jester, and I know there will be a vampire, so I want to be prepared. Searching the net only came up with puns (we're not playing in english) and period-jokes. I've already thought about some joke about blood-sucking and taxes, but do you guys have any good ones?

Torching the forest doesn’t get me any XP for anything inside the forest. How is it?

Got a new pathfinder GM, because the old one quit. The new one is a bit inexperienced and explained too much shit, and expected us to do a lot, which we didn't. We did pretty much nothing he had set up, we ended up watching a play, visiting the minotaur that was used in the play, setting the area on fire, freeing the minotaur and then knocking it out it once it got out of the theater. Got paid nicely for the capture of it. GM wasn't happy with the session though.
Disregard plot hooks, generate mayhem.
Or force the trader to accept Zimbabwean Dollars.
Might ruin the economy if you do it enough times.

Yeah, tell him to do it like Elowin did Mutants & Masterminds!
Yeah, tell him to do it like Elowin did Mutants & Masterminds!
But there was litterally no fucking around blowing shit up in that game. Because you're super heroes. Another reason why super heroes are faggots, they don't fuck around and blow shit up.

I retract my previous statement about finding PCGen easier to create custom content for than Hero Lab, I just hadn't given enough time looking over Hero Labs editor. Now that I have, I think I've become addicted to making custom Data Sets, they really are ridiculously easy to make.
I'd like to run an E6 3.5 game, but I don't want to remove the ability to do awesome D&D stuff, like Necro armies, ascending to lower godhood, planar traveling, creating cool stuff, teleportation points, etc. Anyone else ever play E6 and have some ideas? (E6 is when players cap at level 6 and earn feats every 5000exp instead)
Decided to set up a pathfinder game for a bunch of my friends. Everyone was playing for their first time so I figured I'd start things slow and made them escape through the sewers from a city in quarantine. The party was laughing when I made them fight rats. The party wasn't laughing when said rats were almost at the verge of a TPK. I was seriously expecting the encounter to just go down as a routine "this is how combat works" rather than the frantic "OH GOD THE RATS ARE CLOSING IN EVERYONE RUN" encounter it ended up as. That's what you get for rolling mostly ranged characters in a cramped space I suppose v:v:v
How do you guys play online? I wanna DM for my friend but I don't know any good programs or how to use them.
Looking for a serious-minded game that's no Pathfinder or D&D.
There is a good reason PCs should not be allowed to use cannons. I just went down to a boat with a bunch of cannons on it, loaded one, then when a single enemy came down the staircase to get to me I fired it at him, making him one with the staircase.
How do you guys play online? I've been in games with all three and I despise Maptools but appreciate its versatility, I haven't had a terribly large amount of experience with Roll20 but its nice and slick, if a bit barebones, and rolz just lets you roll dice.
Thanks I'll check them out.

We've got me as a druid, one as a fighter/rouge (i'll just refer to him as fighter), an inquisitor, and another rouge. Our first dungeon-esque area was some sort of mansion filled to the BRIM with traps. We were there looking for the source of the construct 2 of our party members saw, and after passing a magically electrified fence, a magically electrified panel which deactivated said fence, a door with your average dart trap, a dresser with 2 trapped drawers, and a clockwork maid that shot hot steam when deactivated- We finally came across our first real encounter, 2 constructs with god knows how much hp. Our rouge managed to hit the closest one for 5 with a bow, but right after that it just slams him for 9 hp and comes within 1 hp of knocking him out, so we just book it. Not exactly an ideal first encounter.
SO I broke rule number one of evil portals. Don't jump through the fucking evil portal. [editline]2nd December 2012[/editline] Wow. Apparently I ran through a portal, and on the other end was a CE god, who apparently kills me with no chance to fight back whatsoever. As much as I know my chances aren't good, I hate dying because of shit like that. [editline]2nd December 2012[/editline] Then learn that if the guy who had been running for the portal had made it in he would have changed what would happen. So its perfectly okay for one person to be able to lose their character with no chance of true resurrection but two is right out.

In 4e, can Warforged become into Undead? My party is going to try and rez me with a necromancer (though they got the repair thing covered). If that's possible, what strengths and weaknesses might I gain from becoming into a Deforged? (Dead + Forged)
