Everyone is.
Nobody wants to GM it though.
Then consider me the first! I was half-tempted to run 4e or Rogue Trader but ultimately stuck with Pathfinder, since it offers the most support for online play.
For those interested (ie all of you I guess according to Antary :v), the game would be held in real time via Roll20. Voice chat would be great but if you don't have access to voice then text is still an option. Have no idea on times or dates yet, but Saturdays, Mondays, and Tuesdays aren't gonna be possible for me.
Oh and nothing is allowed from and 3rd party publishers. NONE.
Is it okay to discuss other RPG systems in this thread? I've been interested in pen-and-paper RPGs for a while now thanks to the >greentext stories, though the only actual experience I've had was when I convinced two of my friends to give it a go last summer, and we played a really simple (I ended up making some alterations to add a bit more depth to the combat) zombie game I found online which I GMed for them, and we all had a lot of fun.
We're all at University though now, at different corners of the country, but I've spoken to them and we're going to have a go at a Firefly-inspired game on the Savage Worlds system the next time we're all back home.
I've had a look at the rules for 4E, 3.5E and it seems like I could get them to play that eventually. I can't decide which system would be easier, the main thing which turns me off 4E is that when I've created characters with the Character Builder, they've had a shit-ton of powers and such that I reckon could throw them off. That and the focus on miniatures and such.
I looked at the latest D&D Next playtest, and I think that seems like a system which reaches a nice balance between 4 and 3.5, so I'm tempted to try that with them. What do you guys think of Next?

I like Next. I only managed to playtest it with two groups but both times the players had a lot of good stuff to say about it (even players who were staunchly anti-4e). I'd wait for the official release before getting into Next, since they change the playtest materials quite often, but you're more than welcome to give it a shot anyway.
4e is actually best for beginners. While some people will tell you that it's oversimplified or more of a board game than an RPG (which is fucking stupid, but I digress), it's easy to DM and easy to play as a player. However I do agree that it doesn't have the customization and depth that 3.5/Pathfinder offers.
If you're going to go for 3.5, I'd opt for Pathfinder instead, which is basically an improved, better version of 3.5. Even better, it has an online Standard Reference Document (srd), which is basically all the materials from the books and supplements on one website. However it can be a bit clunky, especially for those new to tabletop RPGs, and character creation can be a bit wonky.

I'd personally go for 4e if I were in your position, but whatever one sounds best, go for it!

You love it, baby.
Sorry for missing the session today. I didn't anticipate going out drinking with friends until 7 AM.
I was playing Only War with my friends a couple of days ago and we managed to fuck things up pretty awesomely. Our mission was to investigate an abandoned science bunker and see if it can be used as a staging point for the war on the planet. Due to some stuff in the last session we were stuck underground in the bunker with only way out being to go through the whole place into an underground railway station beneath the complex. So, we slowly sneak around the place and notice that the power is out, the place is flooded with water and there are dead bodies everywhere. Worse, some of the dead bodies seemed to be still moving. So, we sneak around the bunker scouting and generally trying to find what happened and how to get out. Then we notice that all our food supplies have suddenly rotted, meaning we'd die to hunger in a day. With great care to not get noticed by the zombiethingies in the bunker, we manage to find some food and a bunch of survivors: three officers of the PDF and an Imperial Guard medic. This is when we decide to try to take out the zombies with lots of firepower. It all went well until our psyker tries to make an illusion of something the zombies are afraid of: chaos demons. And it kinda worked in that the zombies ran away. The only problem was that instead of an illusion the psyker managed to summon an angry bloodletter demon that killed half the party. Around this point the GM tells us the food getting suddenly rotted was also the psykers fault. So now half the party is stuck in a bunker with almost no food and zombies everywhere and the other half is dead.
I should just shoot the next psyker I see, saves me a lot of trouble.
Are there any games, any games at all open right now?

We didn't start anyway because three others couldn't be there either.

Thankfully us members of The Eternal Legion of Psyker Asshats have this neat trick called Weapon Jinx.
Also whatever the seizure spasm power was called.
That was the first power I ever used in dark heresy. Got a sword up against my throat for it, but still. Good times.

didnt you get in real trouble for that jinxing of yours
didnt you get in real trouble for that jinxing of yours
No I got in real trouble for walking on walls and stealing Maximo's body, although messing up Antary's cybernetic arms was fun too.
Oh and maybe the whole trying to side with chaos and kill all of you had something to do with it.
Anyone playing something else that is not DnD or 40k? I'd like to join if possible...

good luck with that
I want to play Cyberpunk 2020 after seeing all this stuff about the 2077 game coming up.

Yeah, it does look pretty exciting. I can't GM worth anything though, soooo I dunno how it'd go.
I'd be willing to try Cyberpunk 2020.

Thirding/fourthing this, I love cyberpunk as a genre and always wanted to try the game out.
If we could get a GM, yeah I'm 5thing it
I need to read up on Cyberpunk 2020, seeing as apart from the 2077 game trailer, I have no idea.
Love the Cyberpunk genre but i'm pretty skeptic about Cyberpunk 2020, nevertheless i'd love to play it.
Too bad I can't be a magical racist technophobic douchenigger of an elf who mistakes orcs for humans like back in Shadowrun.
yes I`m up for playing too.
Heh, I'd be up for playing it too. Almost played it once, then the campaign died after the (pretty damn hilarious) chargen
I guess all we need is a DM that has the faintest idea what they're doing.
Yeah, pretty much.
I could hop in the C2020 boat as well. Might even try to DM, provided I get enough time to read through all that shit.
