But... But... I like the D even more than my elf does! Vaginas are outsiders!
It just means that you're fagotic good instead of fagotic evil.
I'm OK with this.
The Facepunch Dark Heresy Group's campaign is nearing an end at its 50th session. After tearing their way across the sector in the name of the Inquisition, the group has successfully boarded and sabotaged a chaos star fortress which threatens a major hive-world populated by billions of people. In their current warpath they have slain no less than 200 heretics, 30 chaos space marines, 20 lesser daemons, 4 sorcerers and a couple of hereteks. Now, after striking down the Big Bad Tzeentchian sorcerer, they uncovered the dark nature of his ritual and watched in horror as a Lord of Change, a greater daemon of Tzeentch, manifested before them. I have given them a week to prepare their strategies against this nigh unbeatable abomination or die trying, the scary part is I think they may have a chance at beating it.
Well whoopdy fuckin' doo. We beat it much faster than expected with no casualties (though everyone is just a little more corrupted and insane than usual) and I even managed to grab an elevator out of planetary re-entry to save our Cleric. We need new, less powerful characters.
So I'm planning on starting a play-by-post Pathfinder campaign and we need 1-3 more players. If you wanna join, reply here or PM me.
Just made a dwarf fighter, built to be 100% defense. Tower shield, 19 constitution. Did I also mention the AC of -3? Sadly he is super duper slow at walking and such.
I'm assuming this is 2nd edition in which case that's pretty rad.
Yup, 2nd ed. Only natural 20s hit me. Got hit by a rat monsters 20, 2 damage. Tanked a group of 10 or so goblins and shit, came out of it at 12/16 HP.
I just lied so good as my Alpha Legion Marine (M Night Shyamalan Chaos Marines, super covert ops and stuff) that my party tried to kill me AFTER they all ran away and I was forced to kill a horde of enemies by myself with a dagger.
Right, signed up with the local DnD group to play a newbie's 4e game on Saturday. This is my first time, any suggestions/tips?
Right, signed up with the local DnD group to play a newbie's 4e game on Saturday. This is my first time, any suggestions/tips?
Don't act like a sperglord.
Right, signed up with the local DnD group to play a newbie's 4e game on Saturday. This is my first time, any suggestions/tips?
Be that guy. Also, don't create a character based on how usefull he would be, create a character based on how much fun he would be to play.
Use soap. Seriously, have a bath or shower before you go.
Think you smell bad? Want to cover up your natural scent? Don't use soap, use manure! Guaranteed to cover up even the worst of body odors in less than ten seconds! Yes, even yours! And the best part--it's completely free! No need to waste money on such horribly feminine things as soap or shampoo anymore, just use manure! Available at your nearest farmhouse. [sub][sub][sub]ManureCo is not responsible for any loss of friends, social status, self esteem, mental or physical health from manure induced hygiene problems[/sub][/sub][/sub]
Any games going on in a GMT compatible timezone? I'm sort of interested in joining a campaign and I should be free for the forseeable future, although I'm unemployed and actively jobsearching at the moment so that might change. I have fairly minimal experience with 3.5 and absolutely no idea about Pathfinder or any other system, although I've heard good things about Pathfinder. Also, do you guys usually use mics to chat over skype or something or do you use a text chat like steam or that one page that had a chatroom with dice built into it?
dnd over the internet sucks, no substance find a local group.
While I do agree local gaming is a lot better, don't write off online RP completely. It has a lot of perks over local gaming such as being able to use digital books and dice utilities without the GM yelling at you for looking at porn during the game.
My group is so damn boring, they just want to dungeon crawl.

[sp]I've never actually done a local game before :([/sp]

Wait they're not even physical copies are they? That sucks, screw that then.

I have a physical copy of the Keep on the Borderlands. It's pretty neat.
How my Pathfinder games go: party gets attacked by horrible creature, everyone almost dies. I'm busy looting/pick pocketing/stealing, decide to go help, jump into the fray, deal 30+ damage in the round and kill everything. Our entire party almost died today, we had to take down 3 challenging fights in a row, first some giant tentacle monster, then a bat thing that made illusions, then a necromancer and her minions. The first two were no problem, I killed them in pretty much 1 hit, however the necro did 50+ damage to me in two rounds, and I only have 15 hp. I'm only alive because I demanded the DM didn't kill me yet, considering how bullshit it was. [editline]23rd January 2013[/editline] I'm going to roll a new character, as my old one is technically dead, but only for a few sessions. Any suggestions for maximum damage? My party deals basically no damage, so it's all up to me.

That or they realize it's a deadly game and just suck at optimizing? Or perhaps he just wants you dead if the difficulty ramped up suddenly and unexpectedly between encounters two and three. Fighters wielding two handed weapons can dish out good damage in the earlier levels. Casters catch up later, although they're best used for things besides damage. I've also heard archery is pretty potent in PF, but you'll need quite a few feats in it for best results. (Point Blank, Precise Shot unless you hate your party, Rapid Shot, Deadly Aim, and eventually Manyshot, etc.)
