Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition(360,PS3,PC)v4 - Try Thrusting

I really hope they change npc "questlines" in Dark Souls II so they aren't just random encounters where you just talk to them and walk away
My INT character is level 102 and I messed up a bit but I'm trying to salvage him, what is better - the moonlight greatsword or the BSS with CMW bearing in mind I only have about 21 dexterity. If I level up to 120 with dexterity each time will I do decent enough damage?
Also want to make a PVP character which isn't an SL1 darkwraith, is a VIT gouge build any good?
So I was offering my assistance in Londo Land sunbroing right outside the tower door before the first gargoyle you see and I get called into this guys world. He already has a lowly white phantom there and we all bow and say hello. The white phantom takes the stairs down and starts hauling ass up the flying buttress to the painting hall and me and host are just standing there watching him go and continuously doing the shrug gesture.
White phantom turns around to see if we followed him, notices host already lowered the bridge, falls to his death while trying to run back down. I continued on successfully taking out both archers by myself for the first time. I get summoned by him again for the boss and win Sword fight with Pinky and the Brain. I now have great lightning spears.
wtf is this bed of chaos shit this is gay as fuck
I hope you have lube

wtf man
So far, after playing this game for some time, it became too tedious to me.
It was not the sadistically spaced apart torches that got to me, or the obligation of having to beat the same level segment for the 50th time to die from a boss potshot (while having to walk there for half an hour), but rather the culmination of all that, with the finishing blow being the fact that it is unbelievably easy to irreversibly fuck up your characters stat wise, forcing you to re-start the whole game.
The funniest thing about this small rant, is the fact that I possibly will continue playing it after taking a break. If Dark Souls does not define a love and hate relationship, I am not sure what does.
There is a rather wonderful Half-Life 1 mod series known as "Half-Quake", the mod series demonstrates that gamers love sadism, Dark Souls sends the same message.
Killing an invader gets you 50% of the souls they'd require to level up. Killing a host gives you 10%.
Ah, so it's more profitable soul-wise to be invaded rather than invade, assuming one has the humanity.

wtf man
you probably killed it right as it did its fire tempest attack
That's happened to me with Pinwheel once. Going straight to him on a fresh character while watching Leeroy get cleaved by Bonewheels isn't really that good idea.
Not if both players do their share of DPS.
i can testify for this because me and zip beat 4kings by just doing a ton of damage
ditched the bks and got me a nice lighting zweihander it feels so good to have a usuable r2 and a good moveset
Got myself a lightning Claymore +5 and thought, "Man, somethings missing. This equipment just needs something crazy to make people say "wat"".
I now have piles of rotten pine resin and a fully upgraded Guardian Tail.
Welp, I have finally defeated the game! I don't know what to do with that Lord Gwyn's soul so I crushed it.

Uh, it makes the Great Lord Greatsword, or lets you get the Sunlight Spear miracle.
What a waste.
It lets you get a below-average greatsword and a slightly better lightning spear miracle that needs 50 faith.
I wouldn't call using it a waste.
Man I would love to hear what the term "Min/Max" means.
Also, next character I want to make is a really cheap PVP build and equipment. Any suggestions?
Specifically I was thinking about the whole Giant's Dad, Chaos Zwei, Grass Crest, Havels&FaP, and some kind of stat alignment that will enable OP mode.

iirc it's where you use the "best" items to get the best possible stats i guess

still, there are an infinite number of souls you can get, so why not make a cool thing?

min-maxing is raising certain stats while abandoning others altogether
in dark souls it's common to min-max by maxing poise while min-...ing weight. giantdads are predictable now, they're a build for which your opponent is most likely to have prepared a counter against, next to dark magic spammers. plus i think we were just talking about the mask of the father's nerf, making it kinda just...eh.

Giantdad isn't even close to being "OP" anymore but it's still good. Giants armor gives you a ton of defense and a lightning/chaos/+15 zweihander is still a great weapon, you just have to not be predictable and learn to dead angle.
If you want to be a proper ~MLG~ giant you should use the father's mask but there's no real point anymore, the mother's mask is much better.

Chaos Giantdad is so common now that it'll only work against newer players, and against newer players every build is OP if you're a good player.
The closest you'll get to super OP easy mode is a dark magic spammer, but again that won't work.
Really there's no concrete way to get "easy wins" or "OP mode". Just practice, you'll beat anything. Seriously.
I never understood what "fatrolling" meant. Is it referring to slower dodge rolls that are caused by heavier sets?
I never understood what "fatrolling" meant. Is it referring to slower dodge rolls that are caused by heavier sets?
yup
when you're above 50% equip weight you'll do the shoulder-bruising fat roll, below 50% you'll perform a clumsy jester's mid roll, and below 25% an acrobat's quick roll. a slower dodge leaves you vulnerable for a longer part of the animation. a certain item gives you better evasion when you quickroll.
yeah you kind of just flop onto your shoulder/back
and you can be backstabbed/hit in that animation, unlike the other rolls
tomb of the giants sucks so much dick like there is not a single good thing about it, from the dogs to having to switch between shield and lantern 24/7 it sucks ass
Ah, so it's more profitable soul-wise to be invaded rather than invade, assuming one has the humanity.
Not exactly, you could be invaded by a SL1 and would get jack shit by killing him the same way you could invade a SL200 and manage to kill him. Or invade an afk hacker and kick him down the nearest ledge, whatever works :v:

Sunlight maggot, or cast light, bro. Works wonders.

ToTG is actually my favorite Lord boss area. :v: It's a bit confusing and the dogs are a pain in the ass, but they aren't a big enough problem for me to not like it. I like the darkness and having to use a light source.
And because I can play spooky scary skeletons while in there.
Itszutak's Guide to NG+ Four Kings when you Fucked Up and made a 40 Dex 34 Str no Int/Faith Build:
You will need:
-Power Within
-Whatever +15 weapon you have (the bigger, the better)
-Crest Shield +5
-Charcoal Pine Resin
-Painting Guardian's Garb +5 (with wanderer boots +14 because your endurance is fucked and you can't fastroll with the full set)
-Both hands
1) Run up and fucking stab the shit out of the fuckers until they die, hopefully with all the above in use
2) Win
