i have trouble parrying i can never find the right moment to do the actual parry its always too late or too early
Keep practicing on the basic hollows. You'll get the hang of it.
What shield are you using?
I'm using a Knight Shield
I'm using a Knight Shield
Get the balder shield or dragon or crest or any other shield with 100% block. Knight shield is too heavy.
i have trouble parrying i can never find the right moment to do the actual parry its always too late or too early
Block just as the hand/arm/whatever of the monster is about to hit you, not the weapon. If you can get that, then you can parry most new enemies you encounter.
Anybody around to help with NG+ four kings, level 98 on ps3? Got invaded by a dark magic spammer and want to make sure I have a guaranteed summon before I try again.
No one posted this yet? Weird.
Laughed out loud when the guy checked her ass with binoculars :v:
No one posted this yet? Weird.
What sword is that?
Black Knight Greatsword.
Black Knight Greatsword
Progress on my SL1 Character: Killed Sif Rang the Second Bell Plus: Ascended my flame, got all the pyromancies I need (pretty much) other than power within. My reinforced club is +8, and I killed Nito. Woo
have fun in londo ruins. fucking hate that place.
Your club is only +8? Not fire or lightning?
Your club is only +8? Not fire or lightning?
and he killed nito hot damn
You're gonna want lightning on that club. Also, consider a fire weapon, for seath. He's resistant to lightning.
Your club is only +8? Not fire or lightning?
I haven't got the shards for it, I'll get it upgraded some more next time I play. I might just get another club and make it lightning for seath..
I haven't got the shards for it, I'll get it upgraded some more next time I play.
you can buy shards from the giant blacksmith. farm chunks in londo. but seriously, you're going to want a lightning reinforced club, probably a fire one too, and a fire and lightning hand axe also IMO it's good to have a lightning crossbow w/ lightning bolts, but that's personal preference [editline]20th February 2013[/editline] and for seath you're going to want to remember to grab power within, red tearstone, cursebite, and a ring of sacrifice
I haven't got the shards for it, I'll get it upgraded some more next time I play. I might just get another club and make it lightning for seath..
Eventually you'll want a +5 lightning reinforced club and a +10 fire one.
and bellowing DC ring if you've got your pyro glove upgraded to a decent point
I only started this playthrough yesterday so I think I'm doing relatively well so far :v: I haven't done Sen's yet so I'll have to do that tomorrow if I wanna get me some shards. edit: I have the bellowing DC ring :>
I haven't got the shards for it, I'll get it upgraded some more next time I play. I might just get another club and make it lightning for seath..
Fire is better against seath Though since you're using pyromancy you could just apply great combustion and have him dead in seconds
you made an sl1 run and beat nito in one day? what the fuck
I have a rising suspicion that he meant to say pinwheel
Woops I meant fire club for seath* Also Zinayzen are you being sarcastic? :v [editline]20th February 2013[/editline] Fuck, I did mean pinwheel :V [editline]20th February 2013[/editline] I feel like such a scrub now
that makes more sense, yeah before you go for nito grab the stone giant set, it'll help for him and 4k
"Dear Diary, Today I invaded some guy in the sewers, it didn't turn out so well, so I'll invade him again and try the same thing. If I just keep rolling into him, he has to die eventually, right? Love Kirky"
late but that makes me really sad
that makes more sense, yeah before you go for nito grab the stone giant set, it'll help for him and 4k
Yeah I've got it
all the npcs in this goddamn game make me so sad after reading that fake diary shit i wanna give kirk a cactus hug
Trying to mix up the way I do bosses on my SL1 NG+6 run. Did Quelaag and Iron Golem without using summons or a shield pretty easily. Then I got to O&S and decided to it with no shield or pyromancies. (Insert victory picture here, if Steam hadn't decided to just not take it for some reason) But yeah I did it, and now I feel awesome. I'll make sure to record it when I do NG+7.
What's a good weapon I should get to Occult on my 30 faith sunbro? BSS?
[t]https://dl.dropbox.com/u/10565588/Game%20pictures/DATA%202013-02-20%2022-22-14-77.png[/t] That's some health to end a PvP duel on. Some back story to this since I thought it was quite an interesting duel: I'd met this guy before in my PvP journeys, he was a Zweihanding greatshield type, you know - the one that runs away and heals with Estus instead of fight. Anyway I'd joined him and he'd been fighting another invader, I waited for him to finish it off before joining him in battle, once it had commenced I knew he was relatively easy to avoid, I just had to watch out for the lag. The battle was like any generic PvP duel - he lands a few hits and so do I (But not before he runs off and uses Estus :I) eventually he gets me down to the health you see in the screenshot and with me stepping on a very thin line I did something incredibly stupid and decided to do a running aerial attack on him, landing quite a significant blow and managing to avoid his retaliation. So there we are - facing each other knowing this could go either way (likely in his direction) so I get close to him, make him panic a bit and avoid a few attacks. Then I land the fatal blow. The backstab never felt so appealing as I slowly peeled him off my blade and watch him gasp his last breath of air before dissipating into souls. GG
