that makes more sense, yeah
before you go for nito grab the stone giant set, it'll help for him and 4k
Havel's is much better for 4K
What the fuck?
On my SL44 Sunbro, I have 14 dex and 12 STR and I'm doing 50 damage per swing with a BSS+5.
I'm turning into an Occult, but why am I doing so little damage?
all the npcs in this goddamn game make me so sad
after reading that fake diary shit i wanna give kirk a cactus hug
You're falling for his trap, his ultimate attack.
He learned how to use it by seeing his entire family turn into cacti all at once, and by that I mean he was raised in a desert by cacti.

Take a guess! The upgrade limit for standard weapons is +15 and the effective cap on offensive stats is 40
You should have found an ember near the butcher at the entrace to the depths.
If you don't feel like leveling dexterity, try lightning.
I love the giant bolder trap at the beginning of the game.

Occult scales more with Faith than dex/str on most, if not all, weapons. If you aren't leveling Faith, don't make it Occult.

BSS is an incredible weapon. Not entirely because of the damage, but because of the versatility. It's got good reach and wide range on it's one handed attacks, and the thrusts are powerful.
What are you hitting with the BSS, and are you using the thrusting attacks?

I got it to Divine +5, but I'm still not doing good damage in Anor Londo.

Max your BSS to +15 and maybe even raise your dex a little (though reinforcing your BSS is a higher priority).
My new Pyromancer character (second playthrough) is SL45 in Anor Londo and he has around 20 dex and 16 strength, and my damage output is around 282. Can knock anything down easy with my BSS.
To me that's a huge improvement compared to my character from my first playthrough. Didn't understand back then that upgrading equipment was more important than leveling, and couldn't defeat O&S until I overleveled to around SL65. I learned better eventually.
I might buy Dark Souls 2 if the PC version is actually a good port when it comes out.
Not saying Dark Souls is a bad port, since we're lucky to have had a port at all. Just hoping they can learn from the experience.
well it's not going to be a port they're making it at the same time now
today in demons souls i killed the maneaters and some wimp-ass old monk
and by wimp-ass i mean he probably got picked from latria stage 1 at level 10
Ugh I hate the co-op system in this game. I just want to play the damn thing with my friend, why must the game make it such a bitch to simply do that.

because you're not allowed to have friends in Lordran

I've only had trouble with the very first summon. Usually takes a good 20 minutes to get him in my game but after that we can summon each other flawlessly as long as we don't crash or quit to menu. Also make sure you keep your summon sign in one place. Don't move it around.
Speaking of quitting to menu, is anyone else getting that bug where you sit at a bonfire and then when you exit out of the bonfire menu your character doesn't stand up? I've been trapped at bonfires countless times and the only way to stand up is signing out of LIVE or restarting the game. (At least as far as I know, if anyone found a fix or cause for it I'd like to hear it) But it's super annoying because after that it's another half hour before me and my buddy can co-op again.

That's some health to end a PvP duel on.

I've been told it's caused by the 60fps unlock, you could try hitting your fps limiter key whenever you're leaving a bonfire. I rarely ever play with a locked framerate and it only happened to me two times ever so that's not good enough to say if the unlocker is what causes the bug.

We get the Summoning Failed shit so much we spend over an hour trying to summon each other almost every time. After that we can summon each other at will no problem; unless we get invaded. Invasion has so far given us a 100% consistency rate of causing the summoning to fail for another hour plus, if it even appears within that time frame.
It's so tiresome because we only have a couple of hours tops to play because of life -- spending over half of that just trying to summon the other has really turned us off from the game. We're not even co-oping out of any need; we just want to play the game together. As far as selective multiplayer goes this is the most shitty system I've ever had the displeasure of using.
I assume you're playing the PC version? If it makes you feel any better (or worse), the console versions don't have such a huge problem with summoning. :v:
Well got invaded by a cheater today

I wasn't very happy with him, since he had god mode on and he spammed magic everywhere.
I didn't realize today was opposite day 'cuz I've been running into nothing but really bad invaders and killing all of them, especially in the forest. I'm so used to getting my ass kicked all the time, but today was completely different. Maybe it's because I'm SL46 and it's more likely to find weaker players the lower the level you are? I dunno.
Also, I just love it when I invade someone and the moment I spawn the host already dies.

Feels so cheap. :v:

*gasp*
I'm famous. (also I only had 1,800 hp you just kept slashing my amazing hat and missing me entirely)
side note, it was a pain in the ass to kill you using what pyromancies I had. I was down to my last pyromancy when you kicked the bucket.

I hit you with my claymore several times, since, i saw the damage taken.
It was probably your giant hat, that was taking all the damage.
I love the giant bolder trap at the beginning of the game.
you're in for a lot more boulders and flaming barrels in the future
there's even a small area of the game dedicated to rolling boulders
Sanctuary Guardian is such a cool boss fight!
Sanctuary Guardian is such a cool boss fight!
you're gonna love fighting two at once
Decided to make a new dex char using rapiers and magic to be a forest bro.
sl50 decide to invade for a bit.
Matched to the same hacker 10 times in a row before I gave up :|
[editline]22nd February 2013[/editline]
Seriously his skin was blue for christ sake
I didn't quite enjoy the Sanctuary Guardian quite as much as I enjoyed fighting Artorias. I found the Sanctuary Guardian to be a lot more tedious than fun.
[editline]21st February 2013[/editline]
Archival, you can easily change the skin colour in the game without hacking. Blue is rather easy to make.
How on earth do I play this game?
I enjoy it but I'm always so confused as to where to go, what items I should be using, how I should build my character, what to do next....
I just killed the moonlight butterfly, so I go to the catacombs after getting a divine weapon next?
I'm pyromancer, what should I focus on for that class stat-wise?
Killed the belfry gargoyles yaay
This game is so good
