Just picked up Dark Souls yesterday on the suggestion of the clerks at Microplay. This shit is balls to the fucking wall, but in a great way.

Do I need to put points into faith if I'm making a Divine longsword? I want to go through the catacombs and don't want to spend many points for sword of astoria.

a couple of backstabs should be enough to keep them down at base level faith, don't worry about it I'm not sure a longsword is the best though, I'd use a divine club or something

From the small amount of humanity I have had during my time playing Dark Souls I decided to put some to use for playing some co-op. Instead the game made sure to not have my friends call sign appear to me and instead pit me against SL100 invaders with end game gear. At this point the game turned from an RPG that relies heavily on the players skill to a crude depiction of an MMA figher steals candy from a child. Two damn times going pretty much the same, getting pitted up against some deuce who doesn't even want to fight properly and instead just spams a bunch of poison arrows and once I get to CQC I have no chance as my claymore swings barely scratch him while he somersaults in the air with ease with a sword similar to the size of mine and double the gear. And as a cherry topping there is the horrendous network.
