Does Fraps not work with Dark Souls? The FPS counter shows up on the screen, but pressing the hotkey to start recording doesn't do anything.

Nevermind, figured it out. Apparently setting skipintro to 1 in DSfix prevents Fraps from recording. Simply turning the value back to 0 fixes the problem. :v:

Sometimes when I put my controller down, I just randomly attack. Must be hitting the R2 accidentally. In retrospect, I probably could've just ran for the bonfire and let him reset.

if you attack a friendly NPC and want them to stop being hostile you have to find a certain dude and pay him to absolve your sin

if you kill them then they might drop some unique shit but then they're going to stay dead until NG+ and its generally better to keep all the friendlies alive

Guy invades me as spirit of vengeance. We dance a little and I make him bleed and get a backstab on him. After I back stab him, I start backing off and I use Gravelord Sword Dance, which finishes him off as he tries to run behind me to backstab me.

This is fun.

I did manage to beat the Black Knight in the Burg though. Shit was super-triumphant.

Yes. Choose a starting class that sounds cool to you, just don't restart the game a million times because you think you chose the wrong starting class.

You can change everything with enough souls.

I invaded this guy's world and a few seconds after I spawned in, I heard someone going through the fog gate. I then started hearing rock breaking noises and proceeded straight to the boss area. The host, Solaire, and Lautrec were fighting the boss, and all I could do was stand there and watch.

As you can see, I couldn't actually see the boss. Both the NPC summons died, and the host successfully killed the boss.

I went to load up FRAPs to record all of it, but by the time I opened the game back up he killed the boss and the whole "Host has challenged the boss" or something showed up. I got send back to my world and gained a whole 12k souls.

That's what I chose. The clerks I bought the game from were insistent that it was a strong starting class.

The spell you start with is quite effective early on.

Kaathe gives zero fucks. You can rejoin instantly, losing half of your contributed humanity.
