what.
For me, the Halberd made the game insanely easy for the longest time. It's damage wasn't superb, but it's fast stab and insane range made PvE retardedly easy. What could hit me or what was insanely dangerous was usually beaten by a 100% Physical shield in the other hand. What got through the shield (those huge cat-panther things in the forest) could be exploited near stop-areas and then poked through them safely. :v:
Fucking Afro is great.

Would it be possible to add a 1px black border around it?

i can dream
so who's the guy trapped in the barrel in the depths?
i got invaded as i was freeing him and i accidentally hit him with fire tempest while attacking the invader, and had to kill him because he was attacking me
oh man he's your fire trainer
now you'll have to find the secret entrance in blighttown to get the alternate trainer after you sell your soul to a spider demon

Laurentias, he gives you a pyro glove and sells pyromancies.
He's also the most lovable NPC in the game, even more than Solaire.

I can second this, as a pyromancer myself, it was (almost) painful to punch him to get him to stand up so I could sap his humanity with Dark Hand. Afterwards, I just ran to Oswald to absolve sins, it was well worth the 80,000 souls.
Is it a waste of time to get points in DEX?

No, but don't tell anyone you've leveled it up.

The only useless skill is Resistance.
The only useless skill is Resistance.
Yes I thought so, but a friend told me DEX is really useless, but then again he only uses heavy armor and weapons.

that's only your friend's opinion. dex is used for fast, advanced weapons. it isn't useless if that's what you're aiming for
i can dream
Gaze upon my splendor..
also, I'm mopping up lord souls at the moment . Nito is the next in my crosshairs. :)

u fukn causal
I'm basically playing this game how I want. I prefer it that way.
I'm avoiding looking up anything and just going with the flow. So far, I think I'm doing alright.
That's the best way to play it, yeah.
That feel when you're standing in the Parish with a random collection of equipment wondering just what the hell you've gotten yourself into...
i want that feel again
I think one of the best feelings is starting a character, playing them for a couple hours, and then you stop playing on them for a few days or maybe even a couple of weeks, then you go back on them and wonder just what the heck you were going for with that character.
Or that feeling that every path early-on is a death trap. And when you're expecting things to level out, it just gets harder.
I wonder how feasible a no-kill playthrough would be...
By that, I mean you can not intentionally kill something unless it's a boss.
A couple rules I made up on the spot:
Can not kill anything unless they are a Boss
Can not kick/force anything off a ledge to kill them
If a monster falls off a ledge on their own, or attacks you and staggers off a ledge, that's ok

That could probably be exploited, people are creative.

are you talking about the woman that was outside Quelaag's lair? because i accidentally killed her too
i also accidentally killed the chaos spider person after quelaag's lair by accident
How do you manage to accidentally kill so many useful npc's?
i dunno it just happens

Are there any other NPCs you have to kill besides the man serpent guard in the Duke's prison? (Without skipping the prison)
I call shenanigans.
