I think so, yeah.
I will not use any shields. And I can take 2-3 hits before I die.
you don't need to use the shield to block just 2-hand your weapons with the shield on your back
I'll take a looksie, thanks I'm not very patient to properly level up and progress a character to Anor Londo
it boosts stamina recovery and you can find it in the darkroot basin
Thank you. Should I get Mask of the Child as well? for extra stamina boost (if that even works)
Stamina boost does not stack. Just buy the grass at sens. Also no human summons? Damn, wanted to fight them as sl1 again..
Stamina boost does not stack. Just buy the grass at sens. Also no human summons? Damn, wanted to fight them as sl1 again..
According to the wiki, stamina regeneration items stack. http://darksoulswiki.wikispaces.com/stamina
Pretty sure stamina boosts do stack.
Yes they do stack
They would have to or else giantdad build would make no sense
I have been lied to all along
They would have to or else giantdad build would make no sense
giantdad only uses one stamina regen item? The mask is a carrying weight/aesthetics thing
giantdad only uses one stamina regen item? The mask is a carrying weight/aesthetics thing
Well, if they use green blossoms I guess. But then everybody uses them.
Since none of this seems to have reached here yet I will leave it here. Credits to retroaudiogame on reddit for this dump.
Last week I tried to compile a list of all the unused assets found in Dark Souls. I was just shown this video, which is a four-hour long demonstration of character models being accessed through a debug menu: http://www.twitch.tv/gibbed/b/370932062 It has a clearer look at some of the unused characters than I've seen before (only seen the mesh for the "Claw Hollow" before), plus several things I've never seen screenshots of or heard about before. There's enough new stuff I figure it warrants another thread. It also gives a closer look at some of the regular enemies which can be nice to see. In a post below, I'll index a timeline of the video for easy browsing. The video will be nicer to look at than the following screenshots- Alternate Bed of Chaos This Bed of Chaos has a darker color scheme and insect-like wings on its back. It has animations of crawling and leaping, indicating an attempt at a mobile, non-puzzle version of the boss. Undead King Jar-Eel The model viewer shows a good variety of animations. Standard weapon attacks, plus a spin-kick, AoE attack, and a grab/ "soul sucking" attack. This boss's armor was meant to be obtainable, as it can be worn if hacked into the player's inventory. Claw-Hollow Referred to as the "Pre-crag Spider" in the video demonstration. Screenshots of the meshes of this character have been floating around for a while. There is also concept art for a similar looking enemy in Dark Souls 2. You can see animations being triggered in a different video, 1:52:40 in. Brain Bug Did this have concept art? I have no idea if this is from the original game, or if it's unused just in the DLC. The color scheme and centipede-like legs make me believe it originally belonged in the Demon Ruins. It reminds me of the Primevil Demon from Demon's Souls. Under-geared Chester? Anyone have any ideas about this character? The video demonstration tagged the model as "Evil Chester?", but with slightly different gear and moves. Young Witch Beatrice This appears to be a model for Witch Beatrice as a child. Perhaps she was going to show up in the DLC? Early Kalameet There don't appear to be any glaring differences, but perhaps I'm just being unobservant. It has small green eyes as opposed to small red eyes, and possibly without attack animations if the demonstration showed everything. Meshes for Kalameet were found in the launch versions of the console game, way before the DLC, so I'm guessing those meshes corresponded with this model. Early Sanctuary Guardian I'm guessing it's the same deal as early Kalameet. Early or Younger Asylum Bird, or maybe Snuggly No idea if it's just an early, scrapped model, of if it's supposed to be the same bird at a younger age. Or perhaps it's "Snuggly"?, and the transport bird is a different bird altogether?
Gaze upon my splendor.. also, I'm mopping up lord souls at the moment . Nito is the next in my crosshairs. :)
YOU STOLE MY AVATAR HGNNNNG [editline]25th February 2013[/editline] Also, if we were kinda sorta talking about the best DkS' playthroughs, the best are ENB, Vegeta, Salt and Pepper, and Emarrel. I wish she/he had a mic, having to read the annotations are annoying.
Finally beat O&S SL1 NG+7, with no shield and no pyromancy. Video incoming.
grass crest shield on back
yeah that's the item I was talking about as the "one stamina regen item"; I'm not sure where the second one you mentioned comes from (unless it's the consumable)
-snip- you're right i thought mask of father had stam regen
stuff that regens your stamina: grass mask of the child root crest shield
and cloranthy ring
Holy shit Giantdad PvP is easymode and so unsatisfying to play with, you know you're going to win.
Holy shit Giantdad PvP is easymode and so unsatisfying to play with, you know you're going to win.
Are you invading/getting invaded by scrubs? The zweihander is hard as fuck to use against somebody who actually knows what they're doing.
Are you invading/getting invaded by scrubs? Final message was simply "stfu mate."

I like to carry arrows with me and bait them into swinging while I string my bow, then cancelling into a parry. The rage is fantastic.
Anyone on xbox around SL70 and want to help me get some sunlight medals?

Let me guess, DSFix? [editline]26th February 2013[/editline] If this indeed is the case, you will want to turn off in-game anti-aliasing.
