Just beat DKS for the first time not too long ago. The final boss battle was amazing. Now to get my SL to 120 so I can PVP in the woods.

There's nothing they can do when two guys wearing painting guardian gear with chaos zweihandlers come running at them.

Just started this game yesterday and I have no idea what to do. I killed the (I think he's the first) boss on the wall and now I have to either face the giant dragon or the huge steel boar. Shit. I'm going to make a melee character, but I'm not sure which stats I should take. I've been taking endurance mainly, and a few points to strength, vitality and dexterity.

I have fought the Four Kings. Now I don't where to go anymore.

okay uh... technically it goes against my personal DS philosophy to explain this, but if I don't you're going to have a hard time so basically you're going to want to make sure your endurance and vitality are reasonably high during your first playthrough. You'll probably take a while to get used to rolling, so the high vit/end are to help you not get demolished when attacks break your shield. for strength and dex, ideally you should just pick one and go with it. most sterngth weapons require 12-16 dex, with the black knight weapons requiring 18. once you hit that point, don't add more into dex, nothing scales with it. the reverse is true for dex weapons, although most of them require at most like 14 str (except, i think, the trident which needs 16) but technically if it's your first playthrough you can pretty much do whatever you want. your first character will always be hilariously shit. as for progression, try to not kill the dragon. it's a pain and you probably won't kill it. Just avoid it and it goes away once you get past it. The boar is your next stop, yes. for the most part the game's nicely linear (at the beginning, anyway), so just keep going in the direction you think is next.

>path of the dragon+2 >34 str >40 dex >24 faith holy shit what are you even doing [editline]16th February 2013[/editline] get a fire weapon and some heavy armor. get in close and start swinging. if you get hit by the hilt it won't stagger you. you can swing during the "death" animation to get extra damage in make sure you have 20 flasks and you should be fine, in theory.
