Are you collecting the lord souls? You also need to defeat Seath, Nito, and Bed of Chaos.
I haven't beat Nito, yet.
man fuck NG+ four kings
I think I need some better strategies because goddamn that fight sucks, best I've gotten them to is 50%
No idea if summoning would help here's my stats

Well, since you're a dragon you could go in and use the roar buff...
Or get your faith up to 30 for sunlight blade.

Then off to the Catacombs you go.

I kinda want to keep my character at 120...guess I've screwed it up enough to just go past that though
You can tank NG+ four kings really easily, I managed it on an INT guy with quite low vitality.

What equipment did you use? what sort of damage were you doing per hit?
What equipment did you use? what sort of damage were you doing per hit?
Can't remember exactly, was definitely Havel's or something with high poise and damage resistance. To be fair I did have about 60 INT and was doing upwards of 1000 damage with the crystal magic so it wasn't too difficult - haven't done a melee NG+ yet.
Is the damage of bosses based on percents of your health? Or is like enemy damage and scaling with each playthrough, with it also scaling in percent?
Is the damage of bosses based on percents of your health? Or is like enemy damage and scaling with each playthrough, with it also scaling in percent?
It scales with each playthrough. It increases in NG+ by 40% (Along with the souls you get), each NG after that increases it by 8%.
I think.
I know it's not a percentage of your health anyway, if it was SL1s wouldn't get one-shotted :v:

yeah I do like...300-ish damage with my sword :/ seriously regretting not making an int build...didn't realize they did massive melee damage too

Only really does massive melee damage with CMW and even then a good scaling strength weapon could outclass it. I'm trying to turn it into a DEX/INT build and it's working pretty well as long as you don't get hit.
I wish the caestus let you punch like Andre does, feels like I'm bitch slapping enemies.
Namco Bandai is the publisher for Dark Souls, right? Would be awesome if something Dark Souls related showed up in the next Smash Bros. since Namco Bandai is gonna' be working on it. Highly doubt it, though.

Maybe.
I wouldn't mind Ornstein or Solaire as playable characters. :v:
Guess it's time to do a NG++ Havel run.
Fuck magic, I'm Havel.
Hitting invisible bumps and losing 40k souls and 5 humanity on my new character.
The only good thing about the save editor I guess?
that Solaire figurine is on a discount now if anybody else felt like getting in on that
Now if only it didn't cost me $42 in shipping I would actually consider buying it.

Man up and accept your losses.
I'd be happy to if it didn't happen twice in 2 hours lol
Maybe you should be more careful then
I said SL126 because I have 10 int and I'm SL120

Also beating the four cunts on ng+
is the most goddamn heartracing thing I have ever experienced
O&S were a hell of a lot harder on NG+ for me than the 4kids.
O&S were a hell of a lot harder on NG+ for me than the 4kids.
If you go solo, probably.
But if you have brolaire, its just a matter of patience and self-control (as in you need to know when to hit and when to back off)
ALSO SINCE WERE TALKING ABOUT IT
SUPER ORNS IS MUCH EASIER
so i got demons souls on ps3 today
i have no idea about any of the game mechanics compared to dark souls and i don't want anything to be explained to me i'm going in blind
fuck everywhere but the palace
[editline]16th February 2013[/editline]
especially tower of latria
Well I guess since we're talking about builds and such, I'd like to ask:
Would it be good to raise my STR to 28 so I can 1hand the Murakumo? I have just enough to use it 2handed (19 str). Also specing in faith, about 30 to be exact, so I can use WoG or Darkmoon blade.
I'm a dex build by the way.

edit: And weren't giant's dad builds dead since the huge Father mask nerf?

I wouldn't bother with the Mura unless you will be using it exclusively
If your a dex build, get yourself an uchi/swag sword

If someone is wearing a mask of the father, it's a joke.
You can still make a ninja flipping lightning zwei giantdad, but there's really no point in the father's mask anymore.

I wasn't planning on exclusively using the Mura, I just thought that having the strength would not only let me use a powerful DEX weapon but also allow me access to a greater variety of weapons.
I do roll with the Uchi now, though I'm also trying out the zweihander and claymore.
I think I'll sneak in one last point into strength so I can 1hand the washing pole.

I will tell you right now, having equal str and dex sounds good in theory
in theory
28/40 (I assume you already have 40 dex) is fine. It lets you use weapons like the claymore and halberd and get great damage out of them, especially if you two-hand them.
40/40 is also good but I don't think it's worth it.
i just made a new STR character after 25 hours on my first character, which was almost a straight dex build
how do you play as this shit, the attacks with the zwei are so slow
i started off 2 handing it, couldn't dodge for shit since i'd just get hit while i spend 30 minutes to get back up
now i'm one handing it but i run out of stamina super fast if i'm blocking hits and attacking right away
[editline]16th February 2013[/editline]
luckily i'm pretty pro at parrying (apparently) and i can get away killing most everything by doing that (the black knight was hella easy since i just riposted him with the zwei twice)
but i still get fucked over :c
