Cry2's ammo cap is quite small.
I don't like that.

but you should check out this guy's videos

he is fucking amazing at Crysis (and Crysis 2). he used to post here, don't think he does anymore.
He has One life, Ironman runs of Crysis 1, Warhead and 2 (2 runs of Warhead and Crysis 1) his commentary can be hilarious at times.
Oh and he plays Crysis 1 and Warhead on his own harder then hard custom difficulty.
I feel like playing Warhead again

Had to make room for all those muscles somehow.
It's ironic how Crytek gave the best and most human character (in the crysis universe) a name like Psycho. A marine fired a rocket at Prophet and Psycho and Nomad sacrified himself to save them.
I thought it was a corrupt-ish CIA agent.
i finished crysis once but pretty sure I used cheats and the game was going 20fps most of the time, with the final boss going at like 5fps in the final cutscene
might play it again, properly, that was ages ago now and i've gotten much better hardware since (and have gotten past the phase in my life where i'd use cheats in every single game basically)
I'm happy the modes are getting separated again, changing modes felt like manual transmission in Crysis 1, an elegant dance of the fingers. Now they just need to give back the mode wheel instead of assigning them to keys I'd like to use for other things. I also want the female voice back.
Other than when you accidentally activated the wrong power, the shortcuts in Crysis for each mode were quite a bit better than the wheel, double-tap crouch to enter cloak, double-tap sprint to enter speed, etc. but at the same time I kind of liked the Crysis 2 binds because I didn't keep activating powers by mistake.
But the weapon customisation in Crysis was always the most fun, being able to enter with a CQB ready assault rifle, retreat and make it a sniper rifle at the same time to return fire was always fun.

The Mode Wheel was in Crysis 2.
I think a Hybrid of the 2 systems would be best. Holding Sprint would use speed mode, but you could also switch to speed mode if you wanted to.

True. I got better at not double tapping keys. Still did it on occasion when running away and stopping constantly.
Today i played crysis wars for a couple of hours, a power struggle round on this server lasted around 5 hours, with 34 players playing (modded server) my final score was 374-118, a new record for me, was very exhausted but crysis wars is worth it
I just bound the wheel to V and use that instead. So much better than using the mouse wheel.

That moment when you realize that after the fight with the Korean general, the rest of Crysis 1 is as linear, if not, more linear than Crysis 2.

The part where you escort Prophet seemed to offer some a bit more open ground but the Scouts circling overhead forced you into the canyon.
It was dumb.

Yeah that plus prophets suit energy forced you to keep moving. Plus the giant rock cliffs surrounding you helped.
Anyway, that stupid crysis 1/2 level comparison obviously did not account for the last 1/3 of the game.
In my opinion both Crysis 1 and 2 seemed to have screwed up the whole free roaming part. It was one of the funniest parts of Far Cry 1 and Far Cry 2 to be able to run around freely, and in the crysis series it's kind of a cockblock to be either in a giant island or in a giant city and not being able to explore it freely.

Neither of them were free roam to begin with, Crysis 1 was advertised as sandbox gameplay, but it was never advertised as free roam. That and Far Cry 2 wasn't a Crytek title.
If Crysis1/2 were free roam, players gonna fuck around and completely forget about the storyline. Or they would screw the storyline up.

I never really realized the Ceph made dubstep noises before
I'm ok with the reused HUD and guns, but IMO they should have re-designed the Ceph again. I'm also hoping they changed most of the sound effects. I don't want to feel like I'm playing Crysis 2 when I'm playing 3.
Ceph Hunting Simulator 2012
Looks exactly the same. Hopefully they change it up a bit during the rest of development.
Nice color palette... Oh and the story seems to be absolutely brilliant.
Kinda worried its still using the Nanosuit 2, The Nanosuit 1 is still far superior its not even funny.

No, Ceph Hunting Simulator 2013.
Let's see how it will turn out. They still got a lot of time to develop it.
I expected to see some footage with Psycho :(
New preview. It's giving new information on story, gameplay and so on.:

a mp mode where you play ceph would be cool
a mp mode where you play ceph would be cool
I EXPECTED this in Crysis 2. How come games nowadays dont do that anymore?
Move away from COD, where everyone and every team is completely the same and create some
god damn interesting lore and let us be able to be part of a conflict in MP. Even Ceph vs. Marine vs. those other evil humans would be awesome.
Played through Crysis 2 and cant even remember the name of the faction. Thats how interesting it was, i guess.
