Well N1 was meant to enhance the wearer's capabilities while N2 was meant to be able to function without a proper host body (Hargreave, what happens to Alcatraz)
I think he's going to die four levels in to piss off the fanbase and add drama
Now that I think about it, that would be just hilarious, if that happens. Psycho has managed to survive 27 years with a less powerful suit than Alcatraz/Prophet has.
Shit happens all the times, right? Right?
They should kill off prophet this time around and just leave you in control of psycho.
Prophet would need to be alive for that to happen
Prophet would need to be alive for that to happen
Alcatraz goes by Prophet now, which is a shame because Alcatraz was a cool name
Alcatraz goes by Prophet now, which is a shame because Alcatraz was a cool name
Well I guess he wanted to escape the name.... ehhhh shoot me please.
He'll always be Alcatraz to me because it's his name. Yeah he uses Prophet now even though he knows Prophet is dead but I don't give a fuck.
He'll always be Alcatraz to me because it's his name. Yeah he uses Prophet now even though he knows Prophet is dead but I don't give a fuck.
No Alcatraz was his marine callsign, not his actual name.
I'm still willing to say it's the Nanosuit 1. They probably just did some artistic touch ups to the Nanosuit 1, like how Master Chief's armor looks slightly different in Halo 2 and Halo 3 but story wise it's still the same suit of armor.
It is not the same suit. Halo 1 to Halo 2 that is a different armor. You can only give examples like the halo 2 armor to halo 3 armor because that is the same one.
No Alcatraz was his marine callsign, not his actual name.
My apologies. Point stands, he'll still be Alcatraz to me.
It is not the same suit. Well all this Alcatraz is acting as Prophet talk makes me put out my theory I made: The suit had stored prophet's mind and memories and since Alcatraz got the suit, his mind also got stored and Alcatraz had Prophet's memories. At the end, Alcatraz's body sort of dies and the suit does all it can to stay alive: It heals the body enough to move itself around and having Prophet controlling it. This is my theory, are there really any confirmed one?
The body got recycled into energy for the suit, Alcatraz is just nerves and fudge stuck in the suit, he assimilated Prophet's memories so he remembers what Prophet did, and started calling himself Prophet.
The body got recycled into energy for the suit, Alcatraz is just nerves and fudge stuck in the suit, he assimilated Prophet's memories so he remembers what Prophet did, and started calling himself Prophet.
Nerves and Fudge good name for a thrash metal band
The body got recycled into energy for the suit, Alcatraz is just nerves and fudge stuck in the suit, he assimilated Prophet's memories so he remembers what Prophet did, and started calling himself Prophet.
So the suit is basically a high-tech sack of meat with a partially functional brain and nervous system keeping it going? I should probably actually play Crysis 2 at some point, I don't really give a toss about spoilers, but I'd be able to make more sense of it that way I'm sure.
How are you saying that it's just Prophets memories, when prophet speaks to you at times? And I'm not sure how that explains Prophets voice speaking for Alcatraz at the end. At least, it sounded like Prophet to me.

And you actually know what Alcatraz thinks of all the shit happening to him. And it's not "partially functional", it's fully functional, even enhanced (read: integrated into) by the N2's systems. Uh, why repair something that can be operated by N2 instead and would take resources from operation quality? It recycled the useless bits (heart, lungs, et cetera, anything that's not nervous system really) to keep the suit operational.
The game doesn't really tell you anything, Legion has more info and is better than the game anyway. I sort of assumed from my limited knowledge of how the N2 integrated itself that most of Alcatraz was wasted and the brain itself was probably damaged as well. But if the suit can pull off some science and repair the damage, so much as to enhance it that makes sense then.
Enhance, direct some of brain's processes into the suit's processors, same thing.
That makes sense I guess. At the end of C2, I bet that the strain on the whole suit was so high it used up Alcatraz's body or something.
save yourself the agony and don't bother. pretend it never existed and your life will feel somewhat brighter. much like the matrix sequels and alien 4
That's a little harsh. I mean sure it couldn't hold a candle to the original and Warhead but it was still a solid game; lengths above most of the other shooters released around the time.
And actually has some sort of a plot.
Also, when "the suit was talking" Alcatraz was smarter and he used "prettier words". Basically the suit enhances every aspect of the human body...with the small setback of not having a body anymore.
So yeah apparently Prophet talks in this game.
So yeah apparently Prophet talks in this game.
sounds good, I always thought it was silly how people went games that could span weeks without saying a word, seemed really unrealistic
I hope this game does the suit modes well. I always felt like there wasn't enough suit energy in Crysis 2
The energy recharged so fast in Crysis 2 that it wasn't that big a deal.
