Nope, New York is the first after the Island in Crysis. The rest are yet to start.

Well after they consolised the fuck out of Crysis 2 (it sounds dumb but it's true) I don't have high hopes for this.
I do hope it'll regain some playfulness from the first game (the Turok-ish bow does bode well for that). Hope they'll make the multiplayer less forgettable.
The one thing great about Crysis 2 was the OST, they had a 5 minute long unique track for each chapter which is pretty amazing.

So what were the military doing for three years?

Crysis 1 gave you the illusion of freedom though, in the end you still had to go to one place and one place only and there was generally only one proper way to get there.
That is disastrous archery technique, he wont hit anything like that :P

That track makes anything you do seem important to humanitys survival

Like 99% of all games require you to go to one place in the end.

Archery + Maximum Strength = Come on, you do the Maths.

Yeah but with Crysis it doesn't let you do anything else really, there's fuck all else for you to do, ooh wow yeah, go pick something up, what a great secondary objective.
My gut tells me that Crysis has turned into another one of EA's milking series. 'Tis a shame, for Crysis has its roots in the zone of proper PC shooters.
Whats with nerds and archery.
I've got an archery geek friend, she's gonna love this

=end up breaking the bow because you can't actually feel how much strength you're putting into it?

The first Crysis had some pretty good secondary objectives, since they normally required you to go into an enemy infested area, where there were a bunch of choices on how to take them out.
=end up breaking the bow because you can't actually feel how much strength you're putting into it?
I bet the bow is made of something ridiculously strong, so what we find normal in a bow, he would find normal while wearing the Nanosuit, whereas what we find normal he would find flimsy and what he finds normal we find to be really strong and can't use it properly.
Do you get my point.
im kinda hoping they continue to go to different locations for each game,
Crysis 1 = Jungle, Open
Crysis 2 = City, Closed
Crysis 3 = Desert/Snow, Open?
But from those pictures I cant see it happening
So is this going to be like Warhead was to Crysis 1?
i dont mind it at all if it does
I want to play as Nomad again, or a character that talks, actually just Nomad, i liked his voice.

Nah, this looks like more of a direct sequel to Crysis 2.

At least it was actually explained why Alcatraz never talks, albeit in the book.

You got that from just the front cover?
Crysis 2 wasn't even that bad, just not as good as the first.
Yeah so unless you read something, you don't know why the guy you play as through the entire second game doesn't speak.

I always assumed it was because he got wounded.
Did his tongue get destroyed or something?
His lungs and vocal cords were damaged.
A cutscene somewhere in Crysis 2 shows how fucked up he was.
Crysis 1 gave you the illusion of freedom though, in the end you still had to go to one place and one place only and there was generally only one proper way to get there.
You were free to drive a car into a hut, you could throw explosives, you could go in sneaky or rambo or sometimes you could even stroll off very far to find a sniper rifle and THEN take out the baddies.
In Crysis 2 I never felt motivated to do anything else but what I found to be the easiest and often only way which was shoot-cloak-shoot-cloak-shoot-cloak-shoot-cloak-shoot-cloak.
It came out just over a year ago, basically Crytek are turning modern, they're going to be selling not so different shit games every two years now.
Because, y'know, if they announce it this year they've GOT TO release it this year. It's not like they could, I dunno, release some info, a few screens, and say, "gotta wait until the end of next year," or something like that, right?
Cool, I guess. I enjoyed Crysis 2, despite it not being anything groundbreaking or overly unforgettable. And while it was a lot more linear than Crysis 1 I'd say it was a lot more fun to play.
For this I hope they'll perhaps make the levels a tad more open, and sport a multiplayer that is closer to Halo (or something unique!!) than CoD.

That isn't a two year gap between Crysis 2 and 3 idiot, i said every two years not one.
